Hi, Art,
I'm with you: the iPod, Blueberry and all those other gadgets are a mystery to me.
I was lucky, I had time with both my grandmothers but no time with either grandfather.
Now, my twin and I are the survivors of both sides of our families.
I wonder what happens when this generation loses all that technology? Or, the next generation. The way things happen, I treat all as temporary, only Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church persevere.
God loves you,
Don

Hi, Art,
O, ya, I can remember before TV in my family's life. I'd say by the late 1940's people in our neighborhood starting getting tvs. We had one in our new house, by 1950, or so. We didn't watch it that much, except on weekends. Mostly, we'd play outside with the other neighborhood children.
I didn't have a computer, until my Apple //c, in the mid '90's. And, I've had a PC ever since I put my little Apple //c stored away in the garage about 2000 or 2001.
The sad part is, with all these gadgets, kids nowadays have such limited exposure to real life.
God loves you,
Don

Hi, bcra,
Oh, play football? Nope. The last time I played touch football I got creamed. I just enjoy being at different ball games more than watching them on TV. Anyway, I haven't had a TV for years. The weather and sports was all that was any good ... everything else gone to hell in a hand basket.

Good evening, BCRA,
I'm not much a sports fan. I have been to different ball games in person, which is really fun. But, not for a long while.
Of, course, I do root for our Cowboys, when I turn my attention to football; and I root for our Rangers when I turn my attention to baseball. I've been to a TCU basket ball game and usually keep an ear out for them.
I haven't watched TV for a long time, several years. Sometimes, I'll listen to a game on the radio.
Thanks for writing, always good to see your messages.
God loves you and yours,
Don
