I too like that period. There is a thread on the crusades here. I suggested a book there. Let me cut and paste my post:
The Templars: The Secret History Revealed by Barbara Frale

    Description from Amazon.com:

"Templar historian Barbara Frale happened to be studying a document at the Vatican Secret Archives when she suddenly realized that it was none other than the long-lost transcript. It revealed that Pope Clement V had absolved the order of all charges of heresy."

She is a historian at the Vatican Secret Archives.

May Our Lady Bless and keep you save.

Ahhh, CF. , your right on target for me today. Once again thank you ! I always had a special interest in that period of history. Especially when it came to the crusades. Then I learned about the Knights Templar about four years ago and that intrigue was rekindled.

God bless you and I pray our blessed Mother Mary watch over you and all emergency personel. Thank you.....

    Howdy C.F.

I'm a little late getting this out, but I wanted to say, have a blessed Pentecost
    Sunday.
The peace of God be with you, and may our Blessed Mother Mary Most Holy watch over you and your brothers and sisters in the fire department, or I should say: First Responders.
    Amen.......

    In St. Dominic,
    James
