    Hi Ana,

Thanks for the note. You and your DH sound like a great team BTW. 4 kids, must be..You're absolutely right about the cost of tuition at Catholic schools. Not cheap. But I would look into seeing if you can get a deal with your Parish School (if that's where your schools are out there). We have a great Catholic School system from k-12 here (Omaha). About 1/4 million Catholics in our Archdiocese alone. Wide variety of schools, especially at HS level. Our DD went to all Girls school and DS is in Coed. Most decent schools will offer a negotiable tutition, you'd be surprised. I do envy you rasing your kids at home and home schooling, they will always treasure that time. Hope you can make Catholic School work if you can. You sound like you're pretty resourceful though.

So you know Spanish? I wished I knew you last year when DS was stuggling through 2nd year of HS Spanish. You might consider working the other side of the aisle and tutoring those that are learning that language too.

DD is going to school at a Unv here in town. We actually have a couple good colleges, and for her major, this should work well. She has a job selling steaks and does pretty well at it. (Bet you can guess the company). She misses her HS already, but is ready for next stage.

Keep in touch, hope the ankle biters and rugrats aren't driving you guys too crazy...

, Thank you so much for your response Ana. I knew you were going to be a bit off the wall, and it made my day! Yeah, Mom had 3 of us that were only about a year apart, then there was my sister and another older brother growing up. So I've always had pleasant memories of families with lots of siblings.

My DW and I also sent our 2 to Catholic schools. If you check out albums, you can see my DD who just graduated (and turned 18) . She's doing quite well. Kind of a combination of Audrey Hepburn and Donald Trump if you can imagine. She's off to study Business at College. She has mixed feelings on what to expect I am afraid.

Teen years? Well, kind of a mixed bag (like other childhood stages). They say that a 15 yr old is just a 2 yr old with 13 years of experience. Sometimes very true. Sometimes you want to kick them out the door, and other times you want to tuck them in at night.

Thanks again for your note, you really made my day.

When you have time. Tell me a little about how the home schooling went. Would you recommend it or did you do just till you could get them into Catholic Schools? Do you have good Catholic Schools where you're at?

Take care my crazy friend .. John Simon

Courage? Glutton for chaos is more like it. Just when it seems we finally are starting to get things under control and have a little order to our life, I start wanting another baby!! This year has been difficult homeschooling 3 in different grades and a busy toddler thrown in. Frankly, I am just trying to get through this year. Two are going to our local Catholic school next year, God willing, so I will only be homeschooling one next year, and I am looking forward to things easing up a bit. I need to catch my breath before those teenage years hit! They do grow up fast and no matter how hard I keep pushing down on their heads they just keep getting taller. sniff... How are things there in teenageland? Take it easy now ... don't scare me. lol
Your mom had 3 in diapers?? Has she recovered yet? Do you remember that movie Overboard? When Goldie Hawn is comatose in the corner going buh...bubuh ...buh ...bubuh ... Sometimes I feel like her.

Hi Ana. I can appreciate your and your Dh's courage for having 4 young ones. That's very cool. As you can see from my profile, we have 2 Teens, and DD just graduated from HS. That old saying about them growing up too fast ect is quite true. If you care to, tell me a little about your little ones. I grew up in a family of 5 children and my poor Mom had 3 of us all in diapers at the same time. Me, my twin, and one of my other brothers. Take Care...ps, I got such a kick out of your profile, you must have a wonderful sense of humor (probably need it) lol
