PRAYER TO THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY

Father in heaven,
all creation rightly gives You praise,
for all life and all holiness come from You.
In the plan of Your wisdom
She who bore the Christ in Her womb
was raised body and soul in glory to be with Him in heaven.
May we follow Her example in reflecting Your holiness
and join in Her hymn of endless love and praise.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Hello, dear saints, lovers of Mary and her son, Jesus Christ!

Many thanks for all of the prayers you have posted. I keep each of you in my prayers. Tonight I ask prayers for a fire (yes, another fire...) that is burning out of control on Casper Mountain in central Wyoming. The fire has displaced many people who have been evacuated and do not know if they will have homes to go back to. My parents live in town and so far the fire has not threatened the town, but the winds are supposed to shift tomorrow. Please pray for the safety of all involved and for rain. There are other fires burning in our state as well. What a year for fires!

Ever Immaculate Virgin,
Mother of mercy,
health of the sick,
refuge of sinners,
comfort of the afflicted,
You know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings;
cast upon me a look of mercy.
By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes,
You were pleased to make it a privileges sanctuary,
where You dispense Your favors,
and already many sufferers
have obtained the cure of their infirmities,
both spiritual and corporal.
I come, therefore, with unbounded confidence,
to implore Your maternal intercession.
Obtain O loving Mother,
the grant of my requests.
I will endeavor to imitate Your virtues,
that I may one day share Your glory,
and bless You in eternity.
