PRAYER TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

    O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Heavenly beauty and splendor of the Father,
You are the most valued Heavenly treasure.

New Eve, immaculate in soul, spirit and body,
Created of the godly seed by the Spirit of God,
You are the spiritual Mother of mankind.

Pure Virgin, full of grace then and now,
Your whole being was raised Heavenly in full glory,
To be elevated above all the hosts within the Kingdom of God.

O Heavenly Mother, Queen of Heaven and earth,
I recognize the glory of your highest title,
    The Immaculate Heart of Mary!

Loving Mother, dispenser of endless blessings,
You Who continuously intercedes on our behalf,
Please present my need before Your loving Son Jesus.

    (Make your special request here)

    O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I know that You are now presenting my need before Jesus,
For You have never turned away those in dire need.

Mother dearest, I await Your favorable answer,
Submitting myself to the Divine will of the Lord,
For all glories are His forever and ever.

    Amen.

PRAYER FOR PEACE, TO MARY, THE LIGHT OF HOPE

    (By Pope John-Paul II)

    Immaculate Heart of Mary
help us to conquer the menace of evil
which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today,
    and whose immeasurable effects
already weigh down upon our modern world
and seem to block the paths toward the future.
    From famine and war,
    deliver us.

From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction,
    from every kind of war,
    deliver us.

From sins against human life from its very beginning,
    deliver us.

From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God,
    deliver us.

From every kind of injustice in the life of society,
    both national and international,
    deliver us.

From readiness to trample on the commandments of God,
    deliver us.

From attempts to stifle in human hearts the very truth of God,
    deliver us.

From the loss of awareness of good and evil,
    deliver us.

From sins against the Holy Spirit,
    deliver us.

    Accept, O Mother of Christ,
this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings,
laden with the sufferings of whole societies.
Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer all sin:
individual sin and the "sin of the world",
sin in all of its manifestations.
Let there be revealed once more in the history of the world
the infinite saving power of the redemption:
    the power of merciful love.
May it put a stop to evil.
    May it transform consciences.
May your Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of hope.

    Amen.

A PRAYER TO THE MOST HOLY VIRGIN MOTHER OF SORROWS

    Mary, Virgin, Mother of God,
    Martyr of love and sorrow,
    because Thou didst witness
the pains and torments of Jesus:
    truly didst Thou concur
in the great work of my redemption,
    first, by Thine innumerable afflictions,
    and then by the offering
Thou didst make to the Eternal Father
    of His and Thine only-begotten,
as a holocaust and victim of propitiation for my sins.
I compassionate Thee for the bitter pain
    which Thou didst suffer.
I thank Thee for that love,
    well-nigh infinite,
through which Thou didst bereave Thyself
of the Fruit of the womb,
    true God, and true man,
    to save me, a sinner;
    let Thine intercession be ever
    interposed with the Father
    and the Son for me,
that I may steadily amend my evil ways,
    and never, by further faults,
    crucify afresh my loving Saviour;
that so, persevering in His grace until death,
    I may obtain eternal life:
through the merits of His dolorous Passion
and His death upon the Cross.

    Three Hail Mary...

    Let Us Pray.

    O Lord Jesus Christ,
Who, at the sixth hour of the day, didst,
for the Redemption of the world,
mount the gibbet of the Cross,
    and shed Thy precious Blood
    for the remission of sins;
we humbly beseech Thee to grant us,
    after our death,
a joyful entrance into the gates of paradise.

    Grant, we beseech Thee,
    O Lord Jesus Christ,
that now, and at the hour of our death,
    the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin,
Thy Mother, may intercede for us,
    through Whose most holy soul
a sword passed in the hour of Thy Passion:
    through Thee, Jesus Christ,
    Saviour of the world, Who,
with the Father and the Holy Ghost
livest and reignest forever and ever.

    Amen.

Just to let you know that the fire on Casper Mountain is now 70% contained...thanks to your prayers. The fire has burned 25 square miles of timber and grassland. It also burned 37 homes. It is pretty sad for the people who live there...as any fire is. There has been such destruction by fire in the past few months. We are still waiting for rain to quench our parched land. At least the hottest days are behind us.

Thank you all for your prayers. I keep each of you in my prayers. Blessings, everyone!

PRAYER TO THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE VIRGIN MARY

Father, You prepared the Virgin Mary
to be the worthy mother of Your Son.
    You let Her share beforehand
in the salvation Christ would bring by His death,
    and kept Her sinless
from the first moment of Her conception.
    Help us by Her prayers
to live in Your presence without sin.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God,
    for ever and ever.

    Amen.
