Climate Change a Catholic responsibility to act ?

we in Australia have just passed laws in parliament which for form the basis of a carbon
tax. It is intended to add cost to polluting industries hence
inclining them to use ''greener'' measures for production.
Great anxiety exists in the community over concern, industry will
relocate to overseas countries that have lower production costs
& little in the way of environmental legislation

It the BIBLE, IS THE ANSWER BOOK, FOR ALL MANKIND. Sure there are elders, but we must do our part, such as PRAYER, BIBLE READING, ASKING HOLY SPIRIT FOR UNDERSTANDING before we read it. THAT IS WHAT IT IS THERE FOR, MINISTER TO PEOPLE, SO ALL MANKIND knows what to be warned before the end of the world. Does not the Priests do is read the BIBLE, so all more the reason we follow, their example. God is the final AUTHORITY, INSPIRED MEN THROUGH OUT THE AGES, FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION. The Vatican is there for a reason, we need to search the scriptures, see if they say is aligned up according to the BIBLE, the serious student checks his homework, before handing it in. Same for us as well.

Lady Marchmain, The Pontifical Academy of Science is Part of the Vatican. It Is The Science arm. Several Popes and the USCCB have all supported Cutting CO2 Polution. The Destruction of the Human Race is involved a Couple of Hundred years from now: Reduction of the Oxygen in the World. THAT is why it is a Major Moral Concern. Also, The Pontifical Academy of Science Is the Recognized Premier group of Scintists, Unequaled by Any Other. Search them, pls, as I did.

The Literal Saving of The Earth a few Centuries from now is 100% Proven Scientifically Danger. Global Warming Because of our Industrialization exhausts is Totally Proven by raw Science. 90% of All Scientists Agree, as does Almost Every Government Except the USA, Because of Our Poluting Big Money Interests.

• The less than 10% of Scientists why Try to Deny Global Warming are virtually all Connected to or on the Payroll of The Polluting Industries/Interests.

We should Avoid Ridiculing or Criticizing the Vatican; It Is The Moral Voice For Humanity, and has the Greatest Scientific Access of any Organization.

• These are Not the Last Days, as have been predicted for Thousands of Years. The Bible is Not the Authority; 1 Timothy 3:15 Clearly states The Church Elders (Apostles/Magesterium/Vatican) are Moral Truth on Earth. The Church Also is warning of Human Caused Global Warming, just now Becoming Highhly Visible in the Far more Rapid Melting of the Greenland and Antartic Ice Caps than thought even 10 Years ago. The Historic, Never before in 600,000 years increase in atmospheric CO2 is Logarithmic, almost to late to Stop.

I am not so concerned, of the Vatican involved in going green, they may as well. I know biblically, these are the last days, to study scriptures is very important, so Pray we are not in this alone.

Only Goverrnments are big Enough to take Big Actions, which are still small in nature and costs. China, Germany, France, European Countries have Major new Green Industries; we have almost none. The Vatican is going "Green" with European products, since we have almost none, because of our 2001-2009 radical refocus of the USA to Enriching the Richest few and Our Military focus, totalling more than the rest of the world combined.

• Military Spending is counterproductive, and is Uneeded.

Prospering Nations (Those Named) Focused on Starting New Industries, New Green Technology to Export to the world and Us. How many know Germany Leads the World in Manufacturing, Improving, Selling Hydrogen (Water) powered Buses (Iceland, etc.) and Cars, as is China. Europe and China are focused on Major Green, Anti-Polution Industries, Installations, And Polution Reducgtions. They Sell their Products.

The Pontifical Academy of Science are the greatest Science minds in the world, including atheists. The Pope and Church leadership wants to stay Best Informed, because of It's Moral and Teaching Authority. If Each of us tries to live by the Widelly known recommendations, a major portion of the Proven Human-Caused CO2 and other key polutants Can be Reduced. we are Past the Point of reversing Global Warming.

• The Massive Problem is in Future Centuries: Massive Man Caused raising of sea levels, and known Dangers to Survival of the Human Race. THAT is the Danger We Avoid Now, if we are the minority who deny Widelly Known and Proven Early global warming

Let's not forget what the Pontifical Academy of Science Is: The group of top Scientists in the world to Inform the Holy Father On Science. They don't have "Authority", they Are the Science consultants, informers To the Holy Father. The Holy Father is the Moral Authority to Us: Global Warming is a Major Threat to our Futuure, as the Holy Father has recognized in statements and having the Holy City Energy Independent, in a non-poluting way.[list] Gus, the government is not trying to Change Nature, but trying to prevent Nature fromn Being changed by us Humans, as every nation is. The Pontifical Academy of Science is not trying to tell us anything to do; They are the Definite Science Consultant to The Holy Father, who is entitled per se to Be Best Informed.[/LIST

• Attempting to prevent Crime, dangerous Climate change, etc are major Societal problems For Governments to prevent,unfortunatelly through "Politics" sometimes.

Those samples show the Current Earth CO2 Content is the Highest ever, beyond the points where Nature Corrected the Too High CO2 Content Naturally. That is the Proof of Reason to take action to reduce the Causes of CO2; to try to avoid Climate Change Collapse for Humans, Nature we know.

• There are natural variations in temperature and Climate, Yes. Our Concern is The proven Reason for Air content change, directly proven by Content since the Industrial Revolution: Carbonasceous Content: our Industrial Fires and Carbon use.

• The Trillion to be spent will be on the New Businesses/Industries to Prevent Air Polution, as Other Nations are already Leading in.

What are they (the Pontifical Academy of Science) suggesting we do?

I would not have a problem with being a good steward of nature, avoiding waste, minimizing pollution, etc. But I'm convinced that the government spending money on attempts to alter climate is a waste and would hurt us all, especially the poor, and I cannot in good conscience support that.

Attempting to alter climate is a political issue, and if they are attempting to make it a moral issue, that's not right. There are many more important moral issues for them to examine. So I guess I am saying we (the human race) do NOT have a responsibility to attempt to alter climate, though we (individually) would have a responsibility to be good stewards of nature.
