Padre Pio's spiritual children

Hello Mary Virginia! Welcome! I, too, love Padre Pio. I am currently reading "Pray, Hope and Don't Worry - True Stories of Padre Pio" by Diane Allen. It's wonderful stories from different people who had encounters with Padre Pio and some of the stories are really supernatural. Some smelled his fragance right away. Apparently, he radiated this sweet smell, but not everyone could smell it. It was the sweet smelling fragrance of our Lord, but Padre Pio got so close to Him, that he too smelled sweet.

I like the above quote as well-both echo how I feel.

Hi Bren! I love Padre Pio-he is one of my favorite Saints. I think it was interesting that he had the stimata, but thats not the only reason I find him interesting, he also had encounters with spirits (from purgatory?) -he was just a very spiritual & spirit filled soul, I like reading anything about him.
