    God our Father,
By your Spirit you raised up ST. Pio of Pietrelcina
To show your people the way to perfection.
You made him a pastor of the Church
To feed your sheep with his word
And to teach them by his example.
Help us by his prayers to keep the faith he taught
And to follow the way of life he showed us.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son
Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, for ever and ever.

Hello all and thanks bren for the heads up about EWTN and their special about Padre Pio. They had a show on his feast day as well, but don't know if it was the same one. How wonderful that some folks here have been blessed with mystic experiences! I'm glad that you're seeking out a spiritual advisor as well. When dealing with such things it's always good to have spiritual wisdom and protection, just as the saints did in their confessors and superiors. Our God is so wonderful to share such things with us!

Dear St. Pio, hear our prayer and intercede for us, that we would love our Lord Jesus with the same devotion you modeled for us, and be willing to serve the people of God as you so selflessly did. Thank you for following in the Lord's footsteps faithfully, and for praying for us now as we too attempt to do so.

Good morning everyone! Wishing everyone a blessed day in the Lord.

"I wish to thank the Lord for having given us dear Padre Pio, for having given him to our generation in this very tormented century. In his love for God and for his neighbor, he is a sign of great hope."

    Pope John Paul II

Bren-That is so amazing, since I've come into the faith I have always been drawn to Padre Pio even though at first I didn't even know anything about him.
I pray the Rosary daily but from now on I will try it like you described=thats very interesting & although I don't seek these visions-they just seem to come.

One thing I really LOVE though Bren is that God talks to me in PARABLE dreams when he wants me to "work on"something about my self.
I have always loved parables so I guess thats why he communicates with me that way.

    Peace & Love All! M

Oh God, You gave St. Pio of Pietrelcina, capuchin priest the great privilege of participating in a unique way in the passion of Your Son, grant me through his intercession the grace of......(place your request here)
    which I ardently desire;
and above all grant me the grace of living in conformity with the death of Jesus, to arrive at the glory of the resurrection.

    Good morning everyone!

Dear Mary V. I must tell you what has been happening to me and it almost sounds like the same things you have been experiencing. Every day I ask Padre Pio to be my spiritual guide and help. One day while praying the rosary, he told me "You can experience every decade that you are praying -- this is only a time frame that you can transcend and actually be there in that time, since it has happened." While praying the glorious mysteries just this morning, while praying the decade of "the descent of the Holy Spirit", I saw in my mind's eye the apostles in the upper room praying and waiting. I saw them filing into the room, the room was fairly dark and it was dusty as they filed in.

I don't know if that is exactly what you are experiencing, but that is what Padre Pio told me to do. To be there in my spirit and open my heart to the actual event! Needless to say, I was excited and will do that everytime I'm in prayer and while reciting the Rosary.

God Bless Mary V. - let us know what is happening with you and these blessed events.

bren-I too am a bit of a mystic I suppose you could say, and my priest suggested I get a spiritual counselor at the monestary here nearby and I am making an appointment very soon to meet with one-they want to talk to me in person at least once, then I guess by phone or
e-mail after, it's kind of scary as I have had all these things happening and increasing and it just blows my mind, I had a vision one night=a very quick glimpse of the Passion-and I was horrified & humbled at the same time.
I SAW a Roman soldier pierce Jesus right side just below the rib cage=Jesus head moved a bit & he was "gone."
I am not sure if I even told my close Catholic friend about this but this is the first time I have posted this.

At night when I first lay down I say the Lord's prayer and I tell Him, "I love you Jesus." and I see a cross-it happens alot-even in the daytime-(my eyes are closed) but I feel it's him saying he is with me.

    Peace All! M

Prayer to St. Pio of Petrelcina

Oh St. Pio, witness of faith and love.
We praise your life as a Capuchin friar,
as a priest and as a loyal witness of Christ.
Your life was marked by suffering
    as we call you
    "A crucified without a Cross".

Love moved you to care for the sick.
to attract the sinners and to deeply live
the mystery of the Eucharist and forgiveness.

    You powerfully interceded with God
throughout your life, and continue to do so
from the heavens, by doing good
    and interceding for us.

We wish to rely on your help.
    Pray for us.
We are asking this from you for Jesus Christ,
    our Lord. Amen
