I too would like to have a catholic mentor. I am fairly new to the catholic faith and sometimes I just feel lost. Sometimes I feel like I am not sure if I am on the right path other times I am just lost. If anyone could help me that would be great.

    Hi all,

Do you have a procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi in your country? In Austria we do and it's a legal holiday. When I was on holiday in Edinburgh I tried to find one, but I couldn't. Does anyone know, whether there would have been one?

    Have a nice day,

    Willi

God bless you setting sun...I was Baptist and I never felt the presence of Christ as I have felt him within the Catholic church.I understand. You can pray to God no matter where you are Setting sun.It is beautiful that you have set aside a room inwhich you pray. You humble me.You are a better Catholic than you think. We are sometimes our own worst critics.God bless you through the holidays

My friends, I am not a good catholic although I want to be. here where i live there are few catholic churches and are a ways away from where i live so i pray at home in a room i have just for this purpose. i went to romania this year, there i saw a few catholic churches that werre amazing to see, and the feeling in them is like the feeling you get when you return to your home after a long trip. the beauty of these churches was amazing but the real beauty came not from the many paintings and stained glass like in st michaels in cluj, or the smells of the candles burning or even the beautiful churches of vatra dornei and suceave it is the feeling that god is there, and you feel inside you when you enter the doors of the church, i am your typical normally quiet man, and i usually just read the forums and such and keep to myself, and i am not super religious, but when i am in these churches i feel god all through me. never did i feel it in the churches of my uncle who was baptist when i used to go to church with him, as i had to drive him, nor did i feel it the same way in the speakings of those who are more christian supposed to be than christians, in any catholic church i have been in anywhere I have felt this way, to me there is no other religion for me anywhere and no greater welcome i have ever felt.
    god bless everyone here

Word. What to do with the youth of today? I'm 19 and to see any of my peers in church is so few. what to do?
By the way I live in the U.S but was born in Mexico. I'd like to also meet people around the world and learn a little about there culture and the different ways they celebrate there masses. Might get some ideas to make my church a little more attractive for the youth.

    Hi all,

I would like to get to know other Christians / Catholics from other countries, particularly from Ireland or Malta, through continuing contacts by e-mail or voice chats on the internet.

I am an Austrian (Europe) guy who enjoys ballroom dancing, ice skating, watching movies in English, mountain hiking, traveling, swimming, voice chats on the internet, and having Christian friends.

We have many religioius holidays in Austria, although fewer and fewer young people join the catholic mass. I consider myself as conservative. I like my country, we have nice areas with lakes and mountains as well as cities with historical sights, like Vienna (Wien) and Salzburg, maybe you have heard about the movie "Sound of Music".

Last week I met a young lady in the church who is from the US. One of my best friends is from Great Britain and I am very proud of this. I'd like to have more friends and don't mind whether you are male or female, so please feel free to contact me.

    Greetings from Austria!

    Willi
