I went to 2 healing services with Frank Kelly who I believe is genuine. Firt one he says You are a perfectionist and other things, I dont think too uch of it. $ months later he goes on with quite a few things right on target and just as he is leaving says by the way that perfection thing, its gotta go!!All in all the news was very joyous but that ending!!!!! I am afraid of making mistakes, prob due to my background, maybe I am a little afraid that if I am not perfect God will not love me???I know we will never be perfect on earth so that seems silly but I cant get my mind around this message!!

That is an interesting question. There is nothing wrong in aiming for perfection as long as we realize that we are human and that only God is truely perfect. It also can become boarderline scrupulous if we are not careful. It is a subject that I meant to write about in my blog, but never got around to doing. The question is: are we seeking perfection on ourselves or in others? We need to accept that we are Not perfect, but strive for the grace of perfection, as much as we can. And...I am far from perfect...LOL! It is a life-long work...even a vocation, to attain a level of reachable perfection.

Father will have Hospice to come in and help him which is far better than me, not that I wouldn't be willing, but I don't know how effective that I would be.

Father is dying. It will be a long illness. I relly can't leave my house empty for very long because of the neighborhood, but am very willing to help out as needed during the daytime.

A priest who needs a live in must need the help. I am sure he will need a lot of privacy and would allow you the same. They are usually very independant creatures I have found and wouldn't ask for such help unless needed but you have to follow your heart only you know if it will work out with God's help. I think it is a great privaledge to be asked, they are getting to be an endangered species1

I agree. I don't see where they have an apotsolic/mission-statement other than a vague notion. all of their members seem to "older" and no younger faces are shown.

Today I was asked to take care of a sick priest as a "live in" but sort of turned it down. I would help out, but I haven't lived among a lot of men for a very long time, and even then they were my own brothers. I don't know if I did the right thing or the selfish thing.

I also thought it sounded culty. I understand simplicity in a Religious rule but theirs goes beyond. It is all etherial, no concrete we willdo... Yes more like 30 at heart, too rebellious at 21! Still thinking of aconsecrated life in the world with a rule , living like diosean priests kinda. Will not give up will find a place!!

I looked. Umm, sounds almost like a cult. Remember the communes of the '60's and 70's? I don't see it as a good idea of mixing men, women and single women and/or families in the same group...but then, what do I know. There are hardly any orders that accept anyone over 40-45.
