Value Restoration Catholics

Group created by Skybench

This group aims to encourage people to come back to the authentic Catholic values as it relates to Family life, Vocation, Business, Work etc. We share experinces from our various places and countries and encourage one another and others to hold tight or embrace these values in the face of increasing erosion of these core human values across the globe. We try to highlight those important values that the Church teaches and also how secular society has endangered or destroyed them.We also point out various traditional practices and customs that equally goes against these Values. God Bless.

Thanks Vanessa2 for sharing your experience. I will pray for your Son and I Hope Other members will. I believe that He will definitly find Christ and come back to the Church. You don,t need to remain in the past.It can never be late with God and you are already in the right track.Remember that the church is not made up of those who are perfect, but those who want to be better by improving their live following Christ. And Surely ,many do find him. There is no easier way to meet Christ than Listening and following His Church. We are all in this path and, hopefully, We will make haven. Thanks and continue to show love to your son.God will give your son the grace to find Him. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks for inviting me into your group Skybench... I have recently begun to renew my faith in the Catholic Church. My attendance since my teen years has been erratic but my core values have always been Catholic since I was educated by the most wonderful Nuns. I sent my son to a Catholic school and up until he was about sixteen he seemed to be on the right track, however he does not attend church since he left school and does not have the faith that I do, everyday I pray that he will come back to the church. I feel that I have been remiss in my duties as an example of a Christian parent and am trying to make up for lost time - I hope it's not too late. I attend mass every Sunday without fail, I go to confession and am also going to a Life in the Spirit Seminar. I hope God will hear my prayers and bring my son back. God bless!

15thclub,you hit the point. Marieveronica,Prayer is really needed and I will pray in this respect. I think the problem with American secularism is that it is fast becoming anti - human, anti - freedom and anti - society all of which it claims to protect. Isn't it ironical?

Dearest brothers and sisters.. please pray for us, in the United States. And please pray for the good people at EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network). I just heard that EWTN is suing the U.S. Federal Government over the Contraception Mandate. Here is the link. Pray for them.. that their efforts will be successful. God bless them.

Message for Christine85. One of my favorite characters I had the fortunate chance to read was the late Richard Feynman, a Nobel Laureate Physicist who worked on the Manhattan (Atomic Bomb) Project in WWII and then was a professor at the California Institute of Technology until his death. He wrote a lot of books. One of my favorites was titled, "What Do You Care What Other People Think?" The content lives up to the title. Speaking as a two time loser at being a Protestant, I can reliably say that the Catholic Faith is a puzzle, and an enigma to Protestants who if they had any intellectual honesty and curiosity would realize the veracity of the Catholic Faith. But at the end of the day, particularly with you three room mates, you have to both believe and love and to offer your love from your beliefs knowing full well it will be rejected is a tough tall order. Stay the course, God will change hearts in His own time.

Thank you for the invite Skybench. I never really paid much attention to these groups. Hopefully it will be easy to find it once I log off/on. I was re-evangelized by my children and find judeo/christain values to be an incredable gift. For many years I was a lukewarm catholic and pretty much raised my children the same way. In their late teens they became "changellings" and the vibrant committed Catholics that they bacame still boggles my mind. I have spent the last 13 years catechising myself and there is so much more. . The secular values that clash with religious values are worrying.

I've got a question for you all. Do you live up to Church teachings with an ecumenical spirit. I personally find it hard at times because I find there is bitterness towards my beliefs from other denominations.. I live with 3 Pentecostal women

    Hi Skybench,
the important thing is that the Catholic church has preserved the teaching on the sanctity of human life and of the importance of the family.
Infidelity, homosexuality(and thus lesbianism) and abortion are all against what the Church teaches.
    good day.
