MOVIES YOU'D RECOMMEND (AND/ OR) QUESTION!

Group created by sheilakathy

Seen any good movies lately? Share the good news!

Have a question about one you've seen (even long ago?) Ask! Maybe someone knows the answer.

Seen a real dud lately? Please warn us so we don't go see it (or worse yet) buy it and get burned also!

Also, please let us know if you saw it in the
theatre(s) or if it is available on DVD.

Thanks!

Sheila,
Group Leader

Romance without Regrets is the best video I've ever seen in my life. It's about living as a faithful christian that practices chastity. Highly recommended to teens/anyone who are going through such temptations or even those who are already practicing.
Please Please watch. It's not boring at all! Trust me.It will change your life completely
    Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REj1rhc4RUk

"The Way" with both Sheens in it, father and son in real life and in the film. Excellent and inspiring with amazing scenery while the characters walk the famous trail(s) in Europe that lead to the tomb of St. James.

On the $5 table at Walmart, The Rite, with Anthony Hopkins, based on true events (I heard the priest give an interview---the pretty italian journalist was actually a middle aged man and the protagonist wasn't a seminarian but a real live priest)
Not for small children. An excellent movie though---it will change the way you look at cats, frogs and mules.

We just returned from seeing For Greater Glory, Superb! It is extremely graphic as a film a about martyrs must be so not for kids---but for teens and adults its a must see in my book and extremely relevant in today's attacks on religious freedom by the government.

We previewed The War on the Vendee this evening. My test audience gave it a thumbs up! Its n ot what you'd expect with all the actores being under 21 years old and much younger. An exhibition license is cheap and would mae an excellent fund raiser for your parish or diocese youth groups.
It is a true family film and probably will see limited distribution unless we all get involved. It is a very timely history lesson!
