Warning to parents on disability... DSS and CPS prey on parents on disability because they get huge stupid government grants for taking our kids! IF DSS OR CPS EEEVER CONFRONTS YOU WITH A FALSE ALLEGATION OR ALLEGATIONS THAT DON'T CONSTITUTE TRUE ABUSE OR NEGLECT, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! They can't take your kids unless you do but they'll lie, threaten, and attempt to intimidate or terrify you into believing they can!!! If they EVER contact you in such cases IMMEDIATELY go to www.fightcps.com! THIS IS A GRAVE WARNING. Feel free to email me for ANY help.

You're in my prayers, Spyral. I will remember you while praying Morning Prayer today.

My birthday is May 15th (today) and I need prayers. I have about 2 molecules of faith, and am finding church difficult. I am afraid that this will lead down the road to Despair like before. My praying is hard and useless. St Dymphna oro pro nobis.

The Feast Day of St. Dymphna is May 15

When the Novena to St. Dymphna is prayed in conjunction with her feast day, one traditionally starts it on May 6 and concludes it on May 14.

I am beginning to pull out of it or should I say upward. We don't have a resourse at church for support. I facilitate a small group study at church and share there. I'm thinking more about trying to reach out to others and trying to make friends here. That is very difficult for me. I have realized I need courage. In my devotional today it was talking about having to feel in control is a form of pride. I don't see my depression as a result of sin but I do agree with this. So I'm going to pray for humility and go to confession more. How is everyone doing. I want to be supportive here too. I'm praying for you. If anyone has an idea how I can get a prayer partner I would appreciate that.

I saw my regular therapist two days ago. She had some practical goals to set. I haven't met them yet. She reminded me of something that happened during a breakdown I had last year. I know I wasn't myself and that I couldn't help it but I feel so embarassed, guilty, and fearful. Having no control is hard. And I think will it happen again? And if my husband isn't there will I burden my children? My doctor says he doesn't think it will happen again. I was in the middle of changing from a med I had been on for ten years or more and everyone things changing over the meds was handled wrong. I am on disability but wish I could work because just having to get up and do something would be easier then having the self-discipline I n don't mean to dump and hope to contribute more encouragement to others soon.

Hi dogloverky.I so empathize with what you said.I 'm sorry you r goin thru a hard time.I agree with u a 100% that a consistent routine is important.Especially true when I 'm down.Unfortunately I fall short.I too a a diag of maj depression, anxiety, ptsd with many triggers.I 'm isolative. And suffer social anxiety.I just joined a group for reading the Bible and catechism on a daily basis and then talk about it.But I think it's a small group.
You reminded me of what I 'm not doing to help myself, ie, not consistent w my prayer, exercise and more. That in itself is a trigger.
I will pray for you.I have learned in my struggles that I have grown in more peace.Keep praying, look for humor -I find mine in watching fun pet videos.Today I watched a huge walrus doin situps (you have to be there)

Good to hear from you, dogloveky. Sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. I am too. My uncle died today. He was only 62 and had West Nile. I have a Befriender from my church; a trained lay person who can listen and support. I met with her today. Could that help you? I also see a therapist.
