St. Dymphna, Pray for Us

Hi, guys! I have OCD that ranges in severity from mildly noticeable to making me unable to leave my house. My best friend is also mentally ill and I try to help her the best I can. Thanks for this group.

I join my prayers with yours for our loved ones who are struggling with mental health issues. It is so very hard to watch, helpless with prayer as one of our only aids to assist.

My two sons suffer so greatly from ADHD, OCD and anxiety. School is so difficult (as newguy40 also describes).

I pray my chldren will find coping skills and peace to build successful futures but it is so hard.

My 17 YO has developed a mild OCD and anxiety disorder. Those issues coupled with ADD has made home and school a challenge. I often pray for St. Dymphna's help. It's nice to see this social group.

Hello everyone here and visiting,
I have just witnessed my 34 year old son Kenny having a psychotic breakdown and we have him in a good place where he is being cared for..I am very scared for him and myself..My sisters and I see that he is showing definite symptoms of schizophrenia and I want to try to know what he is feeling ...if he can understand all or some of what we are saying to him...he has had cat scan , mri, eeg...we're waiting for those results..please help us ..FJF

Hi....I'm dealing with not only bipolar disorder,but I have to deal with a 111 year old father who is verbally abusive,for example,he calls me fat,lazy,and stupid.I'm a musician,but I can't practice because it'll interfere with his television watching.I even gave up playing for a church because he didn't like the fact that they couldn't pay me a regular salary,despite the fact that I was enjoying what I was doing for God.I feel so stressed out and somewhat hopeless.Any ideas/suggestions are welcomed.

Hi everyone. This is my second message in this group. I think there is something wrong with me. I'm losing time; I'm forgetting what I've just been told; I cry all the time. I have a tenuous hold on my physical body. I can't afford a counselor. I have seen them in the past and all I succeeded in doing was give them what little money I had. Oh, and I also had my son illegally removed from my custody because in the past a few women have killed their newborns. I'm scared. And I'm alone.

Hi leeray. I've just joined this group. I saw your post and just wanted to say that you're not a failure compared to anyone!! What could you have possibly done to ward off an attack like that from your father? You were a VICTIM of a brutal crime yet you feel like a failure compared to St. Dymphna? You survived, didn't you? That means you're not a failure - you're a success!! IMHO you should keep praying to St. Dymphna and I hope you can soon identify with her as she is there in heaven to help you...God bless you!!!
