Hey everyone! Could you answer this for me? I've just read from Pope Pious of Vatican I that the Catholic Church is the only Ark of Safety, unless the person is ignorant of Her. Well, my family I guess is igorant of Her. So they are saved. If I were to tell them about Her, they wouldn't follow therefore they wouldn't be saved. If I didn't tell them about her, they would be saved still. If I didn't tell them about Her I feel like I'm not doing my duties. I still do not think I could bear having my family (especially my dad) burn in hell forever. With them being Christian but not Catholic, will they go first to Purgatory whre I could at least pray for them, or will they go straight to hell.

Beth40n2, she is scared to destroy it, rightly so, but she will yell at me and raise hell if I bring it out so she can see it. Escpecially cause' it has a picture of St. Ignatius, Holy Father Benedict XVI, and Mother Mary.

Creston, when you can't go to Mass, make a Spiritual Communion. Here are examples. I recommend the first, since it is approved by the Church. You can use both.

    THE SPIRITUAL COMMUNION (APPROVED)
"O Jesus I turn toward the holy tabernacle where You live hidden for love of me. I love you, O my God. I cannot receive you in Holy Communion. Come nevertheless and visit me with Your grace. Come spiritually into my heart. Purify it. Sanctify it. Render it like unto Your own. Amen.
Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldst enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
An indulgence of 500 days, if thrice repeated. (129 The Raccolta 1944). By a rescript of November 24. 1922 the Sacred Congregation of Indulgences approved this formula for a spiritual communion.

    PRAYER TO GUARDIAN ANGEL
    (For a Spiritual Communion)
Oh, holy angel at my side, go to the church for me.
Kneel in my place at Holy Mass, where I desire to be.
At offertory in my stead, take all I am and own,
And place it as a sacrifice upon the altar throne.
At holy consecration bells, adore with seraph’s love
My Jesus hidden in the host come down from heaven above.
    And when the priest, communion takes, please bring my Lord to me;
That His great heart may rest in mine and I his temple be.

Creston, bless you. You definately have friends here! Try to watch mass on TV and call a priest, he may have someone who could give you a ride.

Holy war, if you think she will distroy it, keep it hid. Only the 7 hisorical books are different. When you read other books, use the Bible she would and that may calm her down.

Petersmate, I used to spend hours and hours researching, reading everything I could get my hands on about Catholicism. I have a bookshelf full of books. I don't have anything on Tim Staples, I don't believe. His story looks very interesting. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

I highly recommend Tim Staples as backup information. Catholic answers has a lot of Tim Staples Books DVDs CDs etc.

Here is a sample of Tim Staples.

BLP. have you ever heard the story of Tim Staples. His conversion from being a Baptist to becoming Catholic started with a discussion about the bible. I believe you can have a discussion with a protestant about the Bible if you are well formed in the Catholic faith. I would recommend some research and DVDs and books on Tim Staples.
