Pregnancy support

I am also pregnant with many worries and concerns. I pray that things will get easier and that you are able to enjoy being pregnant! And Congrats on your little blessing!!

When I was pregnant with my daughter I developed gestational diabetes. I was tired all the time, sick every morning sometimes during the day, but all I could think about was the little baby growing inside of me. If she was going to be okay. Would she be healthy, or would she have all the health problems that can occur when the mother is diabetic. I prayed everyday, constantly for the health of my baby. Every time I checked my sugar levels and I was over I would go into panic mode. When my doctors decided my daughter needed her heart monitored regularly I would worry, staring at and listening to her heart beat on the monitor.

It's hard when the pregnancy doesn't go the way you always dreamed of it going. You said you prayed to become pregnant. Just keep praying. Pray with every breath you take for you to feel better. It's not selfish. If you feel sick and it begins to stress you out that isn't good for your baby. I would also suggest reading about pregnancy. Skip the horror stories and just read about what is normal in pregnancy, it's very helpful. Ask your doctor about things that are happening to you that you're worried about. Asking well meaning civilians can just make you worry a lot more.

Hello! I am a first time mom and a catholic of one year! (Already!) I am nine weeks into my first pregnancy. My husband and I prayed hard for 7 months to be blessed with this incredible gift. I feel so blessed to be given this honor of conceiving and raising a child. However, my first trimester has been very hard. I am so sick I have had to quit my job and I have been bed ridden for quite some time. All I truly care about is the health, development and safety of our child. But worry creeps in about finances as we cannot make it on one wage alone. And what of I'm not better by my second trimester? I do not feel strong enough to go this whole pregnancy feeling so sick. I want to ask God to help me feel better but I feel selfish. The baby was what I wanted and it's health so if that means I'm sick then so be it. I feel alone in this as I don't feel like anyone truly understands. The sun is shining and the birds are singing and I can't go outside to enjoy it. There's nothing I can take to feel better. My poor husband has to come home from working all day to cook and clean because 90% of the time I cannot. I'm just really looking for support and prayer through this time. I know this is a blessing and I know the reward will be worth it. But I just need some help to take one day at a time.. I need encouragement. Thanks. God bless
