Do not fear what may happen tomorrow. The same loving Father Who cares for you today, will care for you tomorrow and everyday. Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strenght to bear it. Be at peace then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and Imaginings.

    Psalm 111

Happy the man who fears the LORD
who take delight in his commands.
His son will be powerful on earth:
the childern of the upright are blessed.
Riches and wEALTH are in his house:
    his justice stands firm foreever.
He is the light in the darkness for the upright:
he is generous, merciful and just.
The good man takes pity and lends,
he conducts his affairs with honor.
The just man will never waver:
    he will be remember forever.
He has no fear pf evil news:
with a stedfast heart he will not fear:
he will see the downfall of his foes.
Open- handed, he give to the poor:
    his justice stands firm forever.
His head will be rraised in glory.
The wicked man sees and is angry,
gnashes his teeth and pines away:
the desire of the wicked leads to doom.

To me, CCC 141 (appears in RED below), along with John 1:14 (And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth. says it all:

Dei Verbum 21The Church has always venerated the divine Scriptures just as she venerates the body of the Lord, since, especially in the sacred liturgy, she unceasingly receives and offers to the faithful the bread of life from the table both of God’s word and of Christ’s body. She has always maintained them, and continues to do so, together with sacred tradition, as the supreme rule of faith, since, as inspired by God and committed once and for all to writing, they impart the word of God Himself without change, and make the voice of the Holy Spirit resound in the words of the prophets and Apostles. Therefore, like the Christian religion itself, all the preaching of the Church must be nourished and regulated by Sacred Scripture. For in the sacred books, the Father who is in heaven meets His children with great love and speaks with them; and the force and power in the word of God is so great that it stands as the support and energy of the Church, the strength of faith for her (children), the food of the soul, the pure and everlasting source of spiritual life. Consequently these words are perfectly applicable to Sacred Scripture: “For the word of God is living and active” (Heb. 4:12) and “it has power to build you up and give you your heritage among all those who are sanctified” (Acts 20:32; see 1 Thess. 2:13).

In a nutshell, Jesus is the word, the word is God, God became man through Jesus who, again is the word....therefore we as Catholics treat scripture (the Word) with the same reverence we do for Jesus Christ, God the Son.

I therefore, always consider myself to be in the presence of God himself when I am reading the scriptures!

    Amen!

Since this is a Catholic Bible Study group it would be a good idea to read what the Church teaches about Sacred Scripture. Check out the Catechism of the Catholic Church Chapter Two 'God Comes to Meet Man' Article 3 paragraphs 101 to 141.

Reading the Bible give me comfort, but to understand what the Bible said,s you must open your Heart to God,and let Him, send the Holy Spirit to enlighten you,so that when you read it ,you will understand the word of GOD. Amen
