yes it is awesome to get to know Christ in all we do and say. But its better because of our commission to bring back a lost sheep to the fold. I have come to know scripture better but as time progresses I see Christ in all things around me.

parable1 > Ever day when I pass a church, I make the sign of the Cross and bow my head, and say : Jesus I Love you, even thought I have Faults, and before I read the Bible, I kiss it,and say,may the words I read touch my heart. I also ask the Holy Spirit to help me understand what I ,am reading, and lift my heart to Love God more.

great to hear your thoughts. Its a shame so many just follow the one in front of them and dont go above and beyond. I can imagine when they go to meet Jesus and He says begone I have never known you! So many but so few know Him even tho they say they do!

parable1 > you are so right, It,s like when I attended church, their are few that attended Mass, but yet we have many members. It,s the same at home, they have a Bible on the self, but won,t take it of and read threw it. When I was in my teens, and went to the Fatmia Shrine,I would sit at this one place, and start reading the Bible, because it was so peaceful, and I would listen to the music, they played over the speaker system. Today, people worry about what things they can buy, people even don,t stay after mass, to be with Jesus in his persent, their are only a few ,that do stay. Well we talk again, tell than, God Bless.

To understand the Bible when reading it, one must read with an open mine, and listenwhat they are saying, for the Holy Spirit will enlighten you,and help you to understand.

well it all depeneded on who Jesus was talking to and when it was in His ministry. In John 16 He stated that He would speak so that the diciples would understand. Otherwise with relgious leaders he spoke in parables and the apostles had to have them explained. The bible was written in a way we all can understand and dont need an interpreter.
