neofight awesome reflection Yes we must understand Jesus was and is and is to come. He was there from the begining one in being with the Father. He was co creator. But God also sent the spirit out to work as well.

    Proverb 3
My son, forget not my Law, and let your heart keep my Commandments. For they shall add to your lenght of days, and years of life, and peace. Let not mercy and truth leave you , put them about your neck, and write them in the tables of your heart. And you shall fine grace and good understanding before God and men. Have confidence in the Lord with all your heart and lean not upon your own prudence. In all your ways think on him and he will direct your steps. Be not wise in your own conceit: Fear God and depart from Evil. For it shall be health to your navel and moistering to your bones. Honour the Lord with your substance, and give him of the first of all your friuts, and your barns shall be filled with abunance, and your presses shall run over with wine.

That is a neat passage Liz, and I have heard it used in wedding services and masses.

I view the essence of "love" to be God, and the Gospel.

My thoughts are that John 1:1 bears this out...

In the beginning was the word (holy scripture, including the gospel), and the word was with God, and the word sa God (an obvious reference to Jesus).

So I cannot deny Jesus IS God, and Jesus is the word, and therefore Jesus is not just the living incarnate of God, but of God's word...and Jesus and the word were sent to us from God because of His LOVE for us!

You know it really flows with what the ultimate commandment that our Lord gave us to love your God heart soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. Satan can be conquered by love because love is the ultimate weapon Jesus gives us to fight the darkness off.

    lizjimenezcoope,

I love that quote. Its such an antidote to our society and it strikes me as one of those ideas that are so obviously true, that it seems to me as both profound and simple. This perennial definition of true love has so many implications for all our actions as individuals and how we treat each other, that if it were in everyones mind that this is the ONLY REAL definition of love, our world would be a very different place; from our families and communities to our nations.

Thank-you for putting it up on this board and making me reflect on REAL LOVE.

    God Bless,
    Martina

I love the scripture you used lizjimenezcoope. That really the basiss of what our Lord preached. Love is the answer for all things and the standards that must follow it. Marriage is a rocky road but we must be able to endure good and bad. Jesus went to the cross with this in His heart and mind. No matter what has been done I will love above all else. His death was our key to the father and heaven.

He was given The Ten Commandments, but the people turn to worship a Golden Calf, this made Moses mad,And told those that beleive in God to come to him,he threw the taplets to the ground by were those who worship the Golden Calf, and the Earth open up and swolled them up. Than Moses contuine to the Promise land. But they were wandering in the Desaret for 40th years, untell all that turn agains God deid.

    1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.

Here is a quote I found at random This week and then yesterday it was a quote used in a service to celebrate a wedding anniversary. This is a strong word for me as I am about to under take the sacremend of marriage and it speaks to me about the importance of love and forgiveness in life, both of which are only possible through jesus.
This is what this word means to me. Anyone else?
