What would you do all in this situation I encountered at the Library yesterday?

I was browsing the Spiritual books and this teenager had a STACK of PARANORMAL books and a WITCHE'S BIBLE on top the stack!!

I told her I sometimes read about hauntings in those books for reference & she quickly moved HER stack of books, I told her I was Catholic & she said she was as well.
I told her I ALWAYS PRAY before reading any of the books in this section.
I was afraid to come out & say I didn't think she should be reading those books, didn't see a "Mother" in sight.

    Thanks! M

There are so MANY shows right now bombarding our children on regular TV even that I believe we are loseing our children's souls to the dark side, Satan, the Devil, what ever you want to call it.

Holly, praying hard for you on this day to continue to grow in Christ and be the warrior that he's creating in you every day.
Remember that the evil one never bothers his friends, he only sends fear, desperation and temptation to his ememies.
Thank God for good and holy priests who understand, listen, and help us grow stronger.
    Amen

Mama, the most powerful testimony I know of is of two wonderful Catholic lay missionaries, Pat and Vicki Conroy. They were very wealthy people in the forest industry, who, during a retreat in Florida, were discerning God's will in their lives. They felt through prayer, at the same time, such a loving embrace from our Lord, that they cried for three days. They then sold their company and mansion, bought a good van, and started their ministry, which has taken them from youth prisons in Central America and Mexico, to ministry in the states, and Agape Street MInistry in Vancouver, (where I met them). The thing is, it was that initial realization of God's love that changed their lives. Pretty powerful. I think God wants to reach every one of us this way. We just have to be open enough to accept it. Powerful!

Holly3278_ I think your right-it does tend to come back and bite us I think, but thats what confession is for, God forgives us, maybe we don't forgive ourselves sometimes & thats where the spiritual warfare starts, the Lord knows your heart sweetie,

Peace, Love, & Prayers For All Our Intentions M

marlap2, How wonderful to read your message and to know that you know others who have heard their name spoken. Just wondering if they, or you, perceived the feeling of being loved beyond human comprehension. And though I have the distinct memory forever etched in my mind, the feeling it gave me seems to escape my senses. That's OK with me, because I was so deeply and indelibly impressed that all former temptations of mine, in one certain area, calmed down to a very low simmer! I read a short bio of St. Margaret of Cordona (sp) today, and her background sounds just a little bit like mine. Sure did give me some insights. Praise God for our saintly, all too human, roll models!

Hey everyone. I was primarily involved in Occultism before my baptism but unfortunately I did commit the sin of witchcraft a couple of times after my baptism and reception into the Church as well. I deeply regret this. I honestly believe, as does a priest friend of mine, that my involvement in the Occult has caused me a lot of problems. I didn't get deeply involved in it as some do but I was definitely involved in it.

    Turn Away

    Turn, turn, turn away
    When temptation tempts you astray,
    Come back to Him
    Repent all your sins,
And enfold other's into the way
The truth & the life we will preach today,
Because the real truth is in our Lord & our faith you see,
Don't let evil rule your heart,
Turn to prayer & other's with love and from it never do part.
