This group is for those who are devoted to serving, consoling and offering reparation to the MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS. We pierce the Heart of JESUS each time we sin. The world offends Our LORDS Heart in unthinkable and countless ways. The Sacred Heart is the romance between GOD and man, so for all of you Catholics, who are romantically minded, This is a devotion you cant miss out on. The LORD is the best lover there is, HE loves us all so much. Ladies, when men want to win your heart for life, they propose on a knee, Our LORD wants to win all our hearts, for eternity, HE proposes on the Cross, literally, every wound on HIS BODY, Every beat of HIS HEART is a infinite sign of HIS LOVE FOR US!!

Hey!! Nice to see you both
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the most precious part of Jesus. It is where his unconditional love for humanity comes from and it is also where we see how he suffered for us in becoming human.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us
Sacred Heart of Jesus, make my heart like unto thine

Thank you for the quotes, Christine. I especially liked the one about the three streams coming from the Heart of Jesus.

I want to share this quote from St Faustina's Diary on Gods mercy~"The flames of mercy are burning me. I desire to pour them out upon human souls. Oh ,what pain they cause Me when they do not want to accept them!My daughter, do whatever is within your power to spread devotion to My Mercy. I will make up for what you lack. Tell aching mankind to snuggle close to My merciful Heart, and I will fill it with peace." ~Jesus to St Faustina

Also a quote from St Margaret Mary Alocoque

The sacred heart of Christ is an inexhaustible fountain and its sole desire is to pour itself out into the hearts of the humble so as to free them and prepare them to lead lives according to his good pleasure.

From this divine heart three streams flow endlessly. The first is the stream of mercy for sinners; it pours into their hearts sentiments of contrition and repentance. The second is the stream of charity which helps all in need and especially aids those seeking perfection in order to find the means of surmounting their difficulties. From the third stream flow love and light for the benefit of his friends who have attained perfection; these he wishes to unit to himself so that they may share his knowledge and commandments and, in their individual ways, devote themselves wholly to advancing his glory.

This divine heart is an abyss filled with all blessings, and into the poor should submerge all their needs. It is an abyss of joy in which all of us can immerse our sorrows. It is an abyss of lowliness to counteract our foolishness, an abyss of mercy for the wretched, an abyss of love to meet our every need.

Are you making no progress in prayer? Then you need only offer God the prayers which the Savior has poured out for us in the sacrament of the altar. Offer God his fervent love in reparation for your sluggishness. In the course of every activity pray as follows: "My God, I do this or I endure that in the heart of your Son and according to his holy counsels. I offer it to you in reparation for anything blameworthy or imperfect in my actions." Continue to do this in every circumstance of life.

But above all preserve peace of heart. This is more valuable than any treasure. In order to preserve it there is nothing more useful than renouncing your own will and substituting for it the will of the divine heart. In this way his will can carry out for us whatever contributes to his glory, and we will be happy to be his subjects and to trust entirely in him.

I want to share this chaplet to the Sacred Heart of Jesus that is in my prayer book by Father Lasance.
"The Beads of the Sacred Heart
    A Spiritual Treasure

The object of these little beads is to furnish us with an easy means of offering, in a very short time, a most pleasing homage to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and of gaining for ourselves great spiritual favors. The prayers that compose it are themselves excellent; but they are made still more excellent and precious by the indulgences attached to them.

Manner of Saying the Little Beads
[This is prayed with an ordinary rosary]
    1. At the beginning and at the end devoutly make the Sign of the Cross. (Indulgence of 50 days, each time)

    2. Ask the light and grace of the Holy Ghost through the intercession of your Guardian Angel:
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen. (Indulgence of 100 days each time, plenary once a month)

    3. On the first large grain make the following offering:
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Jesus in satisfaction for my sins, and for the wants of the Church. (100 days, each time)

4.On the first small grain which follows make an act of faith; on the second an act of hope; on the third an act of charity. These acts may be made thus:
My God, I believe in Thee because Thou art Truth itself.
My God, I hope in Thee because Thou art kind and merciful and faithful to Thy promises.
My God, I love Thee because Thou art infinitely good and I am sorry for having offended Thee. (Seven years and seven quarantines each time, plenary once a month)

    5. On each of the large grains which precede the decades, say:
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine. (300 days, each time)

    6. On each of the small grains of the decades are to be said the following invocations.
Sweetest Heart of Jesus! I implore that I may ever love Thee more and more.
Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation. (300 days for each recital of each of these invocations.)

    7. Finish the Beads or Rosary of the Sacred Heart by invoking the three holy names, which we should often have on our lips during life and at death. On returning then to the three small grains at which you began, make the following invocations:
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! I give you my heart and my soul.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! assist me in my last agony.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! may I breathe forth my soul in peace with you.

The indulgences of this little chaplet are independent of one another; hence, if at any time we should happen not to say the whole of the Beads, we do not lose all the indulgences - we gain those attached to the part we say; furthermore, all the indulgences of these little Beads are applicable to the Holy Souls in Purgatory."

This prayer book was written in 1918 so some of the indulgences may be different (for example, the invocations to the Holy Family were increased to seven years, I think). I hope you like this chaplet as much as I do.

PRAYER OF ST. GERTRUDE TO THE SACRED HEART

This prayer is thought to be originally prayed by St. Gertrude and adapted by St. Alphonse Liguori; he is considered the author because of its final formulation.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life giving fountain of eternal life, infinite treasury of the Divinity, and glowing furnace of love, Thou art my refuge and my sanctuary. O adorable and glorious Savior, consume my heart with that burning fire that ever inflames Thy Heart.

Pour down on my soul those graces that flow from Thy love. Let my heart be so united with Thine, that our wills may be one, and mine may in all things be conformed to Thine. May Thy will be the rule of both my desires and my actions.

Thank you for the link, Christine, but I can't figure out how to register. I fill in the needed information and then it tells me I put in the wrong number (that box that has the jumbly numbers and you have to type in what those numbers are). For me, it says 6794 (I hope) but it is not accepting. What do I do? hehe

It is very nice to see how devoted you are to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, carmichael, and that you are having the Two Hearts enthroned. I almost chose St. Margaret Mary Alacoque as my Confirmation Patron Saint but chose St. Rose of Lima instead (but St. Rose, as I have read, was deeply devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus ).

I am sorry that I have not posted in such a long time. Hopefully I will find more time in the future to continue posting in this group.
