Congrats, Sir Knight. Looking good...

I agree with TNKNIGHT remember our lesson of the third degree not to speak out against our brothers. Prayer is the answer.

If you are interested in making them, but not selling them, there is a good organization in Grand Rapids, MI that donates hand-made rosaries and scapulars to different missions and churches. You can check them out here: http://www.ourladysrosarymakers.com/history.html

I believe that Tee's explanation is quite accurate. In my council, we have a 1st degree team captain and he organizes the team and communicates any practices or upcoming exemplifications. Your GK can tell you who the captain is and then you can work with them to identify where you can begin to participate. I congratulate you on your desire to be part of the team. I have found that by being part of the team I have gained a greater understanding of the lessons of each degree and strongly encourage all of my brothers to step up and participate in helping the new brothers advance in the order.

We have an officer's and director's meeting tonight, and I want to bring some suggestions.
What do some other councils do for a family style get together around Christmas? Other than" Light up for Christ" which I want to start at our council/parish this year.

I'm sorry that I was not able to respond yesterday. The thought that popped into my head was the possibility of hosting a Nativity pageant where the children could play the roles of the Magi and the shepherds as they come to adore the newborn Christ. Perhaps in this way you can encourage the children to keep in mind the true meaning of Christmas, as opposed to the commercial meaning in which our culture indulges today.

Thank you so much brothers!
I've got a better understanding of what I'm expected at my council now. The main form I am to submit are the State Council Service Program Awards Entry Forms, as well as the Columbian award application. As well as a couple other forms, the majority of the other forms as stated by others is the responsibility of the GK and FS.
I have to get in gear, because we have had several events so far this year, and I have to submit form #STSP for every function and event we have to Ontario State Council.
I'll have to make some time this weekend to complete them, or maybe some weekday night this week.
I have an important role, because if I don't submit the forms, we won't recieve the Columbian Award this year, which could also affect qualification for Star Council. Whew, I'm sweating now. Lol. Wish me the best in my duties as Chancellor this year.

Hi brothers and friends!
I recieved in the mail today my plaque from The English Company stating on it Chancellor, SK John P. Noonan, Council #12996, 2009-2010. It was a gift from my youngest sister. She also sent me a lapel pin that has the k of c crest as well as Chancellor engraved on it. It is a very nice pin, and the plaque is so cool.
In the past I have been appointed Lecturer, elected a Gaurd as well as Trustee. I don't have plaques and pins for those positions but that would have been nice too.
I hope to be able to have two more plaques on my wall in the future, DGK and eventually GK, and the pins for them as well. We'll see, depends on how I do as Chancellor this year, and how the members of my council vote in the upcoming years.
If you want to see what the plaques, and pins look like or any other K of C items, the website for The English Company is http://www.kofcsupplies.com.
Vivat Jesus!

I do not know which council, but I know he goes to church near the Bevo Mill. I am so looking forward to my 4th degree. Thank you for conveying your enthusiasm!

Lucky! I wish my assembly did that. We have to pay for our own, but our assembly reimburses us $100 of the cost and they give us our swords and sword cases. My regalia is being made right now, hopefully I'll have it in a couple of weeks.
