Poor Friars (Little Friars and Sisters V.V. of Jesus and Mary)

Group created by Poor Friars

We are a Religious Community of poor brothers and sisters and our charism, other than contemplation, is that of sending souls to the Catholic Sacraments, through the Evangelization along the streets of the world, living with the spirit of the first Carmelites and the first Franciscans in total poverty and simplicity, without ever touching money (not that it be bad to touch it, given that also the Apostles had a safekeeping), but because like the first Apostles we don’t become distracted from the Prayer and the Preaching (Cf. Ac 6, 2-4).

This group hopes to be of service to anyone who seeks God's Will and in putting into practice His Word, who at 30%, who at 60%, yet in particular, especially those who desire to live it at 100% ! (cf. Mt 13,8).

All Vocational Inquiries are happily welcomed as we also have numerous Vocational Videos in helping one's discernment to the Vocation of becomming a Saint in the Eternaly Beatific and Glorious Immortality (All in the Holy perseverance) !.

    Peace and Good "Living Stats",
As we're a new community, we're few in number, but our first American Community God Willing will be opened during October in Louisiana. Otherwise we are currently hosted in 3 Italian Diocese, and 1 in a Western African Diocese. God Willing we will soon Grow to also be in Ohio, but for this we also ask of your prayer, as the Lord Himself says: "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so pray to the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." (Mt 9,37-36) !
Always happy to answer your questions, Best wishes of Holiness, Friar Antonio.

Hello! The vow of poverty associated with the Franciscans (if that is what this is associated with) appeals to me and I sometimes feel as though I'm called in that direction. I'm 16 going on 17 and I live in Columbus, OH. Any help on finding aa office for this order aanywhere near me?

Hey, I tried to message you privately, but your message inbox is full, so if you don't mind I'll copy my response on here:

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting me. Thank you for the links. I will most certainly look at them. Could you tell me which post you are referring to, though? I'm not on here too often anymore, and it gets difficult to remember this or that post.

Peace and Good and welcome to this new Group
by the Little friars and sisters of Jesus and Mary !

My name is Friar Antonio and am responsible for the Vocational inquiries in the English language to our community. To begin with, I wish to share with you all some VOCATIONAL VIDEOS that we have prepared. You will find a wealth of wisdom hidden under this photo.. all you need to do is click on the Photo of our community and you'll find a page of the website we use linked with several videos.

Take a look at them and then leave your comments or questions, and we'll be more than to hear from you and
    answer your questions!

So then, having said this, we wish you all the best in becoming Saints in the Beatific and Glorious Immortality !

Thank you for the group invitation. I was able to watch the vocational videos. They were quite good. I see that you share the charisms of contemplation and evangelization. Contemplation comes easy to me: I love to read, write, meditate, pray, etc. Evangelization, however, is not something that comes naturally, as I am a rather more quiet person who does not always engage people in conversation. However, I do come from an evangelical Protestant background, so I understand the importance of sharing the gospel, and I know that evangelization is a priority of the Church right now. Please keep me in your prayers, as I am taking some steps of faith. In particular, I am taking steps away from my old evangelical church and moving towards Catholicism. Thanks for your service to God.
