Hello! I'm an Eagle scout(just got it this summer) and SPL of my troop in the Heart of America Council, North Star District. I'm a cradle Catholic, though my troop is primarily Protestant & we meet at a Lutheran church.(ironically, only about 3 of them are Lutheran)

Favorite Scoutsim... jeez, do I have to choose? "Son of a Caterer!" I suppose (long story behind that one)

What is your Favorite Scoutism... (something a scout says or does)

I am Tim aka MrCTroop301 and WebGuy. I am SM for Troop 301 of Frontier District Greater Pittsburgh Council. In addition to being the Scout Master I am the WebGuy for the District Site http://www.gpc-bsa.org/Districts/Frontier.aspx, Member of Wood badge class NE-IV 219 Owl Patrol. I am currently also serving as the Assistant Director of what we call Basic Leader Training which incorporates Basic Outdoor Skills, Leader Fundamentals, or Scoutmaster & Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.

I'm a second-year Venturer, in my second year of Scouting. (Yeah, I was pretty late joining... but I'm so glad I finally did.) I love Scouting with a passion - and I make up for all those missed years of Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts with the countless hours I spend absorbed and enthralled in books and websites about Scouting..

I am not a Catholic Scout per se (there be no Catholic Scouting groups around here... I belong to an open group sponsored by a local United church) - but nevertheless, I am Catholic, and I am a Scout, and I am very glad to see a group of similar-minded individuals on these forums. (:
