I think God chose my vocation. During my teens I wanted to be a housewife and mother first. I chose teaching as a good backup in case of ever having to support my children. I taught until we had the means for me to quit and have children. I raised 4 good kids and was ready to relax and do volunteer work when my husband retired early because of health. Within 1 month I was asked to take in a handicapped adult lady as a supportive roomate. I now have two roomates to care for as well as my husband. I believe that my experience of a handicapped sister, teacher training and raising my own children prepared me to have all the skill necessary for my current vocation. I believe that I am exactly where I am supposed to be at this point in my life, I am doing a good service for the world and when life gets tough knowing that I am caring for God's children gets me thro the day with peacel
