I would like to report that I am doing much better. I've spent a lot of time here on cat. ans. and it has helped me very much. I started praying the rosary yesterday and I copied prayers for me to pray throughout the day. God bless

Hello, I am trying very hard to get over the break-up of my marriage. My husband walked out on me and my kids almost 2 years ago. I've waited and pleaded for him to regret his decision and come back, but he hasn't. I've decided I've waited long enough and for my own sake and for my kids I need to move on. I need prayers for strength and guidance. Thank you Jen

    Thank you for welcoming

I am in so much need right now. I am broken heart as a 16 year old girl.
The love of my life and I got in contact three months ago and we were having marriage problems at the same time. My husband and I spliting and he and his wife were having problems too. He even left the house and we have been in contact and happy to be together again because he has been thinkin of me too all these years. We were even making plans because we love each other but then starting last weekend things started to change and I didnīt hear from him. Today he sent me a message that he cant continue with me because he is going back to his wife. Things at his home have been good this past week. That he doesnīt know if it will work but he is doing it for his kids.
I am in so much pain because you donīt do that to people you love. Please give me advice and words of encouragement.

all i can say, is to keep praying, i have been married for 14 years now, couple of years ago i went through a similar situation on which my wife wanted to brake up our marriage. it's not easy trust me, it hurts very much, eventhough my wife wanted out to be with somebody else, i never gave up and prayed even harder. god answered my prayers too we are still together and i think now our relationship is stronger than ever. don't give up, learn to forgive and forget no matter how bad you have been hurt. god is always there for us.

hi, just want to share my experience about break ups.. my husband and i had broke up on my college days for 3 years.. we steadied for more than a year and I really love him. when we parted our ways, i prayed so hard and also prayed the rosary everyday and my intention is, if there will be a reconciliation between us i prayed for that relationship to be strong... and if we'll be together again that relationship which i have prayed for will be strong enough that nothing and no one can ever break it again...

Then on one xmas eve my prayers are granted.. we reconciled and now happily married with two daughters.. whatever burdens you have just pray hard for it... God always hear our prayers...

To dmanning, just keep on praying... I know someday that God will hear your prayers too and that one day your ex will realize to coming back on his family... i will pray for you also and your children...

This is a nice group, hope I can join... God bless us all!!!

This is the first CA group I've joined, and you can guess why...Naturally is was because of a Relationship breakup. I was married for 20 yrs. when my husband walked out approx. 3 yrs. ago. I have been "legally" divorced for almost 2 yrs. now and it's absolutely awful still. My ex has been living with his High School girlfriend almost ever since he moved out (not sure, but I think he had been messing around with someone else before he left). I was married for so long, that I don't know if I'd even be eligible for an annulment because I can't remember most of what happened leading up to our wedding. I have 3 children (20, 18, and 16) and I do my best to "keep them Catholic". My youngest (son) is so much like his Dad that I'm afraid that he will leave his faith at some point. I feel responsible for all of them! I'm trying to put my trust in God that His plan involves something better than what I've had to go through. I keep hoping my ex will get out of the relationship he's in and return to his family. I pray for him regularly. Even though the kids are with me most of the time, I still feel SO LONELY. I have good days and bad days...Anyone have any suggestions that might help things get better? I'm all ears!

A break-up with a boyfriend/girlfriend is VERY traumatic. No Biblical quote can make one feel better. It can only help to perhaps prevent despair. The pain must be gone through, and good suggestion is to offer it up as one's purgatorial suffering. I am twice-divorced (from the same man) and now annulled, after 17 years of hellish marriage. It took years to recover, and will never be forgotten, but yes, God will help you move on. Scars and all.... God bless!
