The word relics comes from the Latin reliquiae which already before the propagation of Christianity was used in its modern sense, viz., of some object, notably part of the body or clothes, remaining as a memorial of a departed saint.

I remember reading about a church that had a relic of the breath of Moses, but cannot find any info about it anymore, even searching the Internet for it. It may have been in a cathedral in Germany. Does anyone have any info about this relic?
