The word relics comes from the Latin reliquiae which already before the propagation of Christianity was used in its modern sense, viz., of some object, notably part of the body or clothes, remaining as a memorial of a departed saint.

I remember reading about a church that had a relic of the breath of Moses, but cannot find any info about it anymore, even searching the Internet for it. It may have been in a cathedral in Germany. Does anyone have any info about this relic?

Yesterday I was blessed with the opportunity to see a traveling display entitled "Traveling Display of Our Lord's Life & Passion" (their website is www.catholicsaintrelics.com if you are interested).

It was at All Saints' Parish, Wichita, KS, which has a nice collection of Saint relics of their own. I got to see things such as a piece of the Swaddling Cloth of the Infant Jesus, a True Cross relic and a thorn from the Crown of Thorns and several others from the Passion of Christ.

Also there were relics of the Apostles and a "Calendar of Saints which contains 407 relics, one for each feast day and others.

It was a blessed opportunity in this month where we celebrate the Saints.

    Hi Spirit,

If you can get a close up on the second one, it is very old fashioned because it is from Italy and authentic from a Nunery, but then again , so is the first one. When I pull my pictures up, one by one from my album, I can see it up close. You will be able to get a close up, that way. If all else fails, you can PM me and I will send you copies in letter size on photo paper free of charge, of course.

Thank you, Lmora for permission to copy these pics and add to my collection. They have a mystical beauty I find very attractive.
Even though I really like each one, The pic of Blessed Mother is my favorite right now. I am a painter, and if I am able to paint again, I would love to paint these exactly the way they look, To paint them on canvas in oils I know they would taken even another life on their own.
    They are very cool!!

    Hi Spiritualunity,

Here are two more of my pictures. The story behind these last two pictures is that my aunt was a nun in Italy, years ago. She sent me these 2 pictures when I was a baby. I recently found these pictures, which I thought were lost. I thank God I found them. When I took a picture of these two,(which were originally cream colored -white) they also turned to gold. Feel free to copy them and add them to your collection,

Lmora, I believe you are correct, that offering this pic can bless others. I never thought of it that way and I thank you for opening my mind to this.
People have told me to walk into my home is like coming into a sancurary. I have statues, pictures, blessed candles, holy water, blessed oils, etc. I have something in everyroom. I can tell that there is protection from my blessed items and relics. I have many 3rd class relics,so I have them above windows and door to outside apt. From time to time I go through apt with holy water blessing each room in the name of Jesus. I put green scapular in each the 4 corners of apt. too. Yes, I too would grab altar items and medical equipment and medicines!!:-)
God bless you Lmora, I very much enjoy your posts and angel pic. Do you have more pics you can share with us?

    spiritualunity,

Yes, of course. I will never be without my Holy Relics and statues. If the world ended tomorrow, I would grab all my statues and hold on to them. My altar would be the first thing I would go for. I offered this picture, because I believe it can bring blessings to those that have it.

Lmora, it is so true Miracles do happen. I think God does many miracles for everyone, don't you? It is very generous of you to offer pics of your angel picture. It certainly is very beautiful and lifts one's thoughts to Heaven.

    Spiritualunity,

you did not offend me. I am just trying to prove that Miracles do happen and I have never seen this happen before.

And I just thought that if anyone wants a copy of her, it is free for the asking. Actually, I think if you right click the picture you can probably save it to your file.

Lmora, I did not say it was tampered with. I did not even think that. But,havinig knowledge of photography, this is not the first time I have seen this happen. All, I am saying is, it is beautiful, maybe a personal message in it for you seeing how you seem to really be attracted to it, but as far as miraculous, only the Holy See can tell you that. I can only tell you what I see and what I am knowledgeable about. Forgive me if I offended you,I did not at all have that intention.
