Hope all s well with everyone!
Kelly, Yes, don't think of it in terms of years, time will pass anyway, read that somewhere on FB, heehe, but it's so true.
And then you will be doing what your passion is, and don't worry about your age etc., and the kids will soon enough be chasing their own dreams as well, and it may inspire them to go for it.
I'd rather have a Mother chasing her dreams than drinking away her regrets.!

Have a Great Day All! M

    I grues this is a REFLECTION..maybe ???..anyway I will share..lol

Just thinking out side the box this morning on my life and something I am going through that is a lengthy 9 year process...but I put it into perspective ~~~~~~~ Do not look at something you have set forth to accomplish as being lengthy or taking forever, but look at it as a journey that will eventually end : savor the moments you encounter through it, learn from the people and experiences you encounter along the way and relax and savor the beauty of spiritual/personal growth as you make it through to your journey's end~

The grief has caused phyiscal health problems too. No wonder they say suppressed grief is not healthy

This poem was written at roughly the same time. I agree about the roughness and beauty of poems written in pain and anguish. It's just a pity the diamonds have such pain before they sparkle

    Wrestling

    Wrestling
Is all I seem to do
    Struggling
    Just to keep afloat
    On course to you

    Tired I weep
Too sore to think or even sleep
    So many things I find
Compete for space in my mind

    I walk away
    Searching for a day
    When my feet don't fear
The shallow reef that seems so near

Lifting my eyes I can see
The one that set me free
And showed me path to follow

    When the world seems hollow
And gaudy sparkle tries to blind me
I turn away and leave it behind me

To find the cave I know
    The place I can go
And meet the one who shows
    The way to peace

A peace the world cannot give
    A chance to truly live
For he sets all people free
    From sin's slavery

    The fight can cease
    I can at last sleep
safe in the arms of the one
    Who loves me
    My fortress and my rock

    I rest in Him
    And find my peace

cashtn---wow you really had a lot of very sad things happen to you in such a short time. your poem "harken to my cry" is so universal.
i wonder why a lot of poetry is written in the roughest times and comes out so beautiful?
agree with mary virginia......."about the good stuff happening here"!!
we just need to get some of these "lurkers"!!! back on board.!!!

    PRAYER REQUEST:

In the news and not trying to scare anyone but:

PRAY for South Korea and America as North Korea has said they are going to send a nuclear bomb to them and America ahead of UN sanctions that are being drawn up against North Korea, we need everyone to pray TODAY.
Do they even have the capabilities? Maybe, with help, so please pray all.~

I am having the most beautiful day spiritually ~ Funny how the unseen can do more than the seen

    Beautiful poetry everyone <3

As I was walking along through my subdivision I spotted a single red rose.
The beautiful rose was strongly stationed along the sidewalk
    and was profoundly beautiful.
Usually, I think of Mother Mary when I come across such a rose.
But today, my thoughts directed me quite differently.
As the dew trickled from petal to stem,
I was reminded of the many tears that our Savior has shed for us all.
The beautiful crimson red that painted the roses petals,
reminded me of my Lord's precious blood that was shed for our sins
The strength that I saw within the rose reminded me of God's word and the strength that it gives to so many including me.
As a single petal ascended within the winds towards the heavens, I envisioned my beautiful Jesus sitting at his Fathers side.
Then I shed a tear and I thanked my most amazing redeemer for his love, forgiveness and for his grace...Kelly O'Mara
