Peace of mind
our Lord is so kind
since we are so blind
to have come in and dined!

Dear friends, I just found out that my dear great-Aunt died last night. She was 102 years old! She was suffering so she said that now she will be at peace. I wasn't close to her my whole life but while she was sick we got close and I was able to send her a prayer book with the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the front which was precious to her, and I sent her some get well cards too and prayer cards. I would appreciate it greatly if you could pray for the happy immediate repose of her soul, and an abundance of consolation and faith for her family. Thank you and God bless you all!

Fear the Lord, Repent!

Lightning dashing, flashing across the darkened sky.
Thunder clashing, crashing splitting trees standing nearby!
He speaks loudly! Terrorizing petrifying all that exist. Fear: the Lord:
and keep his commandments, for he comes quickly.
Be still, be humble, submissive to his demands, his warnings are
multiplying, the ragging waters are rising in the sea's and great floods,
and famine has come upon our lands. It was in his divine plan,
He predicted these things. Wars, hate, political debates, over
destroying lives that we didn't create, our souls are at stake!
Justice will prevail in the end. Repent or sink, revelations is
being fulfilled. Our sins have brought the wrath of God upon us,
only through his grace and mercy, can we be saved: it is all in the
hands of our Savior. Behave! Believe, beware, luke warm won't get you there. Repent! Take Heed! Fear the Lord!

Have a Heart for Children, Poor!

In poverty born, bred, they live
In misery and future bleak,
All famished, ravished and ill-clad –
Most children of the modern world!

Their parents have to slog all day;
They can’t afford a single meal;
They cannot go to school but stay
As rag-pickers all life and earn.

What folly have their parents done?
The poor are unlucky always;
Their future is like broken glass,
That cannot be together put!

In mud-walled huts and roofs of leaves,
With longing eyes that beg for food,
Half-naked children wait to hear
The foot-steps of their parents come.

With weathered faces, unkempt hair,
With innocence without compare,
With mal-odor that fills the air –
How much of sorrow can they bear?

Their eyes appear to speak and plead
To anyone who passes by,
‘Have mercy on us, poor children;
We smile despite our hunger-pangs! ’

Their eyes look muddy, lack-lustre;
Their anguished hearts, enfeebled frames;
Not enough blood afills their veins;
Their food is deficient always!

Their eyes speak volumes of ill-luck,
And torture by human beings;
Their bodies bear the scars of past
unfairness, meted out by all!

They have to walk for miles bare-foot,
to fetch a pot of water that
can never quench their thirst for long
but causes diarrheal deaths!

And Nature’s furies take their toll,
As rain and floods and droughts unfold;
Diseases turn them invalids –
The God who made them watches on!

But blame must go to mankind first,
Whose wastage, wrongs and ill-wrought plans
Reduced most of the human race
To existence in poverty!

A few on earth have richer turned,
by making rest of poor, poorer!
Their hearts of greed can’t be appeased
Until their death-knell’s gong is belled!

’Tis strange to watch how hunger kills
the children of stark poverty,
Whilst big money goes down the drain
and rodents, pests eat most food-crops!

Beware of eyes of children poor!
In silent, wordless, ways, they plead
To God to change their misfortune:
Unleash His wrath upon the rich!

We had a little storm here Monday morning with some hail, no tornado.

Having trouble with government paperwork. I'm going by a letter I received from the Medicare.
Medicare just comes along and dump D and B on me and want to take money for it from my Social Security. I was able to cancel Medicare D and have started paperwork to cancel Medicare B. Please pray that the B is cancelled in time to prevent Medicare from raiding my Social Security retirement for payments on B..

Dear Friends, I'm sorry that I haven't been on for a little while, but I've been having a medical problem. I just wanted to stop by and thank you all for your wonderful poems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don, I pray for you and all those suffering this severe weather!
