    Merciful Cross

Over the brook Kidron, in the garden, Jesus and his disciples entered in.
With lanterns, torches, and weapons, soldiers came to questioned him.
Jesus said, “Who are you looking for?” “Jesus of Nazareth.” “I am he.”
Judas approached Jesus; evil entered in, and betrayed him with a kiss.

So many times we enter the garden
To find a place for some quiet peace
Then darkness comes to seek us out
To draw us away from light to misery

Evil finds a way to draw hearts away
Those in power place labels upon us
And who are they looking for any way
Hearts grown cold are easy to stray

But, this is their hour; so they reason
Armed, they seek to overtake the meek
It will last for only a very short season
Till the clock strikes the stroke of three

Although we too betrayed with a kiss
He with whom we entered the garden
The Living Power of the Merciful Cross
Christian soldiers, has sealed our pardon

    PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

    Saint Augustine of Hippo

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy.

Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy.

Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy.

Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy.

Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.

    Amen.

    Just Reflecting <3

My heart saddens as I reflect
    upon the sufferings of Christ.
The sound of " driven nails "
    echo through my head ,
his body, " upon The Skull",
is visioned deep within my mind.
My heart aches as I reflect upon the
    agony and ridicule
    my savior endured
My heart once again saddens as I envision
blood trickling down his beautiful face
My heart is filled with gratitude for his love,
    and I am eternally grateful
for his ~grace and selfless love for ALL.~

~Lord have Mercy upon us !... though undeserving, still Christ waters our thirsty souls with his precious LOVE and SALVATION <3 ~

    Reflection/Homily: Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper Year C (March 28 2013)
Theme: The Holy Eucharist: A Communion and Summit of Love

In this liturgy of the evening mass of the Lord ’s Supper, the Holy Mother Church commemorates three principal mysteries; the institution of the Holy Eucharist, the institution of the Catholic Priesthood and Christ’s commandment of brotherly love. Our reflection this evening will be based on these mysteries.

The Institution of the Holy Eucharist: The idea of the Holy Eucharist is dominant in the readings of today. The first reading (Exodus 12:1-8, 11-14) gives us a pre-figure of the institution of the Holy Eucharist which is the Christian Passover meal. In the second reading (1 Cor. 11:23-26), St. Paul narrates the manner in which Christ instituted this great sacrament and gave his apostles the mandate to celebrate it in his memory.

As we know, the Holy Eucharist is a topic that can never be exhausted because it is God Himself who cannot be fully comprehended. Based on this, we shall reflect on the Eucharist as a sacrament of communion.

Bishop John Okoye in his Lenten pastoral letter for 2012 describes the celebration of the Eucharist as the highest expression of the identity of the Church as a communion. This is because it maintains the communion between the Church and the Triune God, the communion between the Church and the faithful and the communion between the faithful themselves.

Pathwalker, I often reflect upon Jesus and try to imagine him in human form as he was over 2,000 years ago. He must of been such a beautiful being to walk side by side with or to have known in the flesh before his crucifixion. I as a woman, would have probably fallen in love in the physical sense..I am sure there were ones who did....I am in spiritual love with him presently... But to love as Christ did ...beautiful, selfless and unconditional.....we are all so blessed to have a wonderful and loving God ~...your poem was just beautiful !

    A REPOST~

If I were poor I would not possess regret,
    for worldly possessions
will not accompany me within life eternal.
If I never found a true confidant within humanity,
I possess one in "He" that is immortal
If I lie along the wayside, hungry and forgotten,
it is "He" that has prepared
a feast for me within his kingdom.
If I pass and no man remembers my name,
it is "He" who has not forgotten who I am.
When others choose not to forgive me,
it is "His" precious blood that has pardoned me.
When I am weary and seek comfort,
it is within "His" arms I find rest and console.
When I am seeking shelter from the storm,
it is within "His" grace that I am safe and sound... © Kelly Moore O'Mara

    Desert of The Season

In the desert of the season
    Something different in the scene
    In the time of nothingness
    Treasures great are unseen

    Silence blankets covered statues
    Royal purple on display
    Promises coming to fruition
    Found in three triumphant days

    Victory can soon be realized
    Drawing deeper to the One
    Containing joy in the knowing
Light of glory, through the Son

First the suffering must be witnessed
Through the lamb who paid the price
Time in the tomb, must be lived
    Eternity won through sacrifice

    In the light of resurrection
The greatest day for all mankind
Explodes the joy of all creation
A savior’s love, we pray that all will find

    Their King

    They called him, Master
    Wisdom beyond his years
    Words of everlasting life
    As soldiers readied spears

Upon the back of an ***
    Journeying past the crowd
    In exhalation and praise
    Laying their branches down

    Deliverer of the good news
    Setting the captives free
Calling him King of the Jews
    Paving the road to Calvary

    They called him, Master
    They called him, Teacher
    They called him, Messiah
    Then, crucified their King

    Palm Sunday

When he rode in the hero that he is to all,
Everyone straining to get a better look, he knew that soon they would be watching his "fall",

As he rode by the crowd,
They lay the palm fronds , their voices they were loud,

He was happy for a little while among his people crowding all around him,
But soon he must leave them and die for their sins.

For a moment in time he was ther hero and the promised messiah as he rode through the streets,
Stopping only to wash his apostle's dusty feet.

Before he went off to pray on his own, his men could not watch even for an hour or so,
They were tired with knowing their savior he must go.
