    Good evening, all,

    Great poems every body.

    To: roseo64, prodigalson, Genevieve II and neofight .... I cannot keep the commitment to lead the Holy Bible Study II group because of events beyond my control.
    So, I'm not going to start it.
    My apologies for getting your hopes up.

    God loves all of you, lurkers, too,
    Don

    We are his seeds planted strong and firm;
    within us he instills his love and his word
    Our blessed Father within heaven's reign;
    sends us his spirit within his blessed name
    Hence forth we journey to tell of all his grace;
    blessed redeemer within thou heav'nly place
    Through out the world all his blessed children;
    praise him greatly with strength and courage
    What a beautiful savior our hearts posses;
    a beautiful Savior within his spirit or flesh.....Kelly O'Mara

    Please sit down with your Mother ,my precious son
    Days will soon pass when you shant be so young
    All I want for you is a life that will bare few snares;
    or crooked paths and journeys that are hard to fare

    Before making sudden decisions always take heed
    Search your heart and turn to God in times of need
    Choose friends that respect the Lord and will cherish you
    Find a woman who loves both you and her Savior true

    As your mother its been a much blessed path
    There were times quite weary and some with wrath
    But I would never retrieve a second or miss a day
    I love you son and through God there was always a way

    If you choose a path to walk only with our blessed Lord
    Son that too will delight my heart and my Savior adored
    No matter what road you choose or path to walk upon;
    no matter where life leads you are forever my little one.....Kelly O' Mara

    Your Mother will always love you John Thomas...everyday I watch you grow ; it is a true blessing..I love you son

    Morning Prayer
    Lord, I love to start my day with you;
    your love and blessings see me through
    With you in my heart I always fare ;
    your loving spirit follows me everywhere
    Lord,I thank you for all you do;
    you keep me safe and love me true
    I love our morning talks we share;
    the strength you give is always there
    With faith in you I start my day;
    while you keep me safe when on my way.......Kelly O'Mara

    The “True Vine”

    From deep down inside I will make my way
    Through the depths of hell around every grave
    When at last one day I will rise into the light
    And you shall blossom my sweet delight

    Up to the mountains high and valleys low
    I will guide your way and you will grow
    Together we shall be as one in harmony
    Together we shall set the captives free

    Spring forth into the world in every direction
    Let your beauty shine forth far and wide
    The Vine of life extends branches
    Bearing much fruit, the Vine-Dresser is glorified

    I shall prune away every fruitless branch
    So that the fruit bearers produce abundantly
    And all will see your beauty as one with me
    Together we shall set the captives free

    Once barren branches shall bear much fruit
    Those that hunger will feed upon you
    You shall nourish them from deep within
    They shall be removed from their sin

    I am the "True Vine" - you are the branches
    Be nourished from the source of life
    Let your beauty shine forth far and wide
    Bearing much fruit, the "Vine-Dresser" is glorified

    A Break in the Clouds

    If cold hope eats your innards
    like wriggling worms,
    trust in the Lord will definitely
    warm your soul.
    For we all have sanguine expectations,
    bright prospects laced with confidence.
    And oft we rely on our self convictions,
    refusing help not often given spontaneously.
    We fly from hope to hope,
    like birds that search for the early worm.
    Only to find we've lost our battle,
    a sour taste on our palate
    and loss of confidence on self and neighbor
    not to mention putting all the blame on Him
    who could have helped us spontaneously.
    But think carefully my friend,
    for this journey is full of storms,
    and thunder and lightening are deadly at times.
    Yet He has given us great hope
    for He provides us with what we need,
    a break in the darks clouds above.

    I saw this poem posted online. I thought is was so beautiful and I hope it makes your day even more special:

    Today's poem holds that the act of attention is a form of prayer.

    The Summer Day

    Mary Oliver

    Who made the world?
    Who made the swan, and the black bear?
    Who made the grasshopper?
    This grasshopper, I mean-
    the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
    the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
    who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down-
    who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
    Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
    Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.
    I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
    I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
    into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
    how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
    which is what I have been doing all day.
    Tell me, what else should I have done?
    Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
    Tell me, what is it you plan to do
    with your one wild and precious life?

    hello all.............been away due to a ruptured appendix......stitches are still in, but the pain has largely subsided where i'm not brain foggy.......of , course even when i'm not on pain killers my brain is foggy...but we'll keep that to ourselves.
    love "God's phone number"...victor...reminds us that we CAN talk to our Lord as a friend.
    "post modern psalm" and "photo negative rainbow"..........are deep down take a look poems, prodigal son..........that remind me of that old adage of...."you can run but not hide"
    or something like that.
    and "dove of love" tonyg..is something special ,too. how much we need the Holy Spirit in our lives...especially when love is trying with someone you don't like.
    i guess it's later, for me and poems, haven't had much inspiration lately..or it was there and i didn't see it......................
    may God Bless all and keep on inspiring us to get closer to His Beauty.
