Just a li'l poem
to start off my day
something to get me going
also pave the Way

Not my way, but His
I need to be reminded
otherwise I brook the danger
of being double minded

The True Meaning of "Christmas"

I remember - Silent Night - Jingle Bells
The glistening lights - singing carols
And dreaming of a White Christmas

Stringing up cards across the walls
Holly and red ribbons decking the halls
The peaceful feeling of Christmas

I remember - the greatest story ever told
The Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes
As the stars of heaven stood guard by

"Jesus" laying there, the earth was still
Mary and Joseph - the scriptures fulfilled
Angels praising and adoring his holy name

The Babe, the Lamb, Son of the great "I Am"
"LOVE" - opening the gates to eternal bliss
I remember - the true meaning of "Christmas"

THE UNWRITTEN

The unwritten holds such
that few can see
yet, it is one day to be
reality

For me
for you?
it won't be the same
oh what will you do?

I've my own path
written before the dawn of time
He is its Author
only He knows its rhyme

Some may try to echo
what He has in store
before, during, after...
I partake of its core

Only I can wander
down its glorious path
only I can escape
its outer wrath

Sure, you may see
what He allows you to
though I have the best
interior point of view

I've listened to His call
I've answered best as I can
to it I gathered
while others ran

I feel His warmth
I see His glory
will you partake
or is this only my story?

Sure, some parts are unwritten
to those I add my view
from this vantage point
it is such a beautiful hue!

AFTER ALL THIS TIME

After all this time
did you suddenly feel shy
that would be unbelievable
yet I sit here wondering why...

Finally you have my phone number
I'm at last a single unmarried lady
so what is stopping you from calling
unless you think somehow I'm shady?

I think you know me well enough
by now you must understand
I'd not answer you invitations
unless you accepted my hand

That is, my hand in marriage
nothing less, of course!
God told me there would be
such an offer coming forth.

So where is your phone call
where is your request
or was the whole thing
nothing more than jest?!?

My grandpa was 23 during the Great depression...I am so dingy......I was telling my mom about my poem to him.....she quickly corrected me.anyway.....do not know why I was thinking he was my daughter Michelles age 13....he was great man anyhow....I miss him.My memory is so bad....from the accident.Being in a coma has messed me up.....I am like a computer that crashed...lol....so much info lost.God bless all
