Excellent, Mama. You know, I may've qualified as the world's most fanatical living Beatlemaniac when I was a wee lad of 13, and "I am the Walrus" has always been one of my favorites.

Apparently CCF is coming back very shortly. Who did you miss the most in the interim?

I always liked Flying Finn. I think he once said that he was in his early twenties, but that kid had wisdom out the ying yang, and the rare gift of being able to see the big complicated picture of almost any issue and brilliantly reduce it to its essence. Incisive. I was content just to lurk on many of the debate threads and watch him fend off a dozen opponents with ease, with his brief but consummate posts. An intellectual ninja!

I also liked Psalm23. Such a good egg, even if his taste in music and Masses left a little bit to be desired.

I wonder if they'll return. I actually wonder if I will. This forum is considerably less draconian with its rules. Mama, how quickly would our current discussion of sedevacantism have resulted in my (or both of our) bannings on CCF? Viva la CAF!

Ooooh, very cool. I went to candlemas last year, got some blessed candles fer meself, too.... but I don't remember kissing the priest's hands....Could it have been a "first blessing" after the Mass (by a new priest)?

Nah, it was actually before the Mass, right after he did this big ceremonial blessing. Everyone went up to the rail and kneeled like going to Communion. Then he put the candles in front of our faces with his hand, and we had to kiss the candle and then his hand. Then we processed outside, then back inside, then started the Mass.

So are you going to be in the movie?

Yeah, there's a TLM at a nearby Benedictine Monastery...quite beautiful with the brothers and sisters chanting Gregorian-ly the whole Mass. I love it, but don't get the chance to go there much.
