    Dear broken1

My heart and prayers go out to you. I will spend an hour before the Eucharist this week for you.

Nothing can harm our emotions as gravely as when we witness the harming of a child, whether it be through abortion or pedophilia, especially when it comes from within the clergy.

I believe God is performing a two-pronged cleansing of Mother Church: First of all, He is "winnowing the chaff" from our midst, to make us grow stronger. Secondly, it seems fitting that in this age of spiraling disbelief in the "Real Presence," sometimes we don't really appreciate something until it is taken away from us. Thus, God is taking it away from us, albeit for a short time...

Jesus is calling you back very, very gently in His whispering of your name. Be still... Listen...Listen...He will guide you...

i came upon this site accidentally but ,perhaps,it was God nudging me as He knows my desolation,
I've been away from the Church for 6 long years and miss it,esp.,The Eucharist. I left because of the scandal of pedophilia and the manner in which the hierarchy of the Church was complicit in the cover-up. I had been a staunch defender of the faith and committed Catholic but these crimes were indefensible and I found I could not say the Creed and mean it and I would not receive the sacraments hypocritically.
I feel lost now more than ever since I lost the only remaining member of my family and am totally alone for the first time in my life. Please pray for me .

Please remember the following in your prayers:

Carol Rose, David Johnson, Suzanne Cox, Marvin Hawkins, Brandon Pierce, Chad Ford, Barb Harding.

We pray that our Eucharistic Lord send His gentle healing touch to these, His sons and daughters.

Chris, my prayers for Uruguay will happen at our novena mass for Our Lady of Perpetual Help at our parish. I will lift up these people's hearts and minds at the consecration of our Lord, as He gives Himself to us.
This will be a special mass as well, as four of our new catechumens in our RCIA class are received in the Rite of Acceptance, on their journey to baptism and full communion into the church.

I joined this group specifically because my most important prayer, for reconciliation and conversion of my entire family, and at His Precious Blood, for every male member of our family to unite himself to Jesus' Sacred Heart. I am a convert, married into a nominally Catholic family. (only a few actually attend mass anymore)

Bless all of you who revere Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

Rarely have your prayers been more urgently needed to save lives. The South American nation of Uruguay faces a crucial turning point on Sunday, November 29, 2009.

If the people vote for the Frente Amplio or Broad Front candidate for president, he has promised to legalize abortion-on-demand in Uruguay and will have the votes to do it. If the National Party candidate wins, abortion will be blocked. Currently the opinion polls show almost 50% on
    each side.

It is a thousand times easier to prevent legal abortion than it is to reverse it once it has taken root. Spain recently had their second rally for life with over 1 million people on the streets in Madrid and their socialist government still insists on keeping abortion-on-demand.

Human Life International's Uruguayan affiliates are working day and night to educate and mobilize their fellow citizens to defend innocent human life. The picture above is from a march for life they organized on Monday in the capital of Montevideo and other cities.

Please join with us in praying for a pro-life outcome to this election by adding this important intention to your Mass and Rosary prayers for the next few days. Even a single Hail Mary and Our Father will be valuable contributions. We need an outpouring of grace on Uruguay as we all collaborate prayerfully to stop the global advance of death that threatens to overtake our entire world. This Thanksgiving holiday in the USA and Sunday let us storm Heaven for life.

Rosalind O'Hora has a special intention.

Mary Juniet-Elmlinger asks for prayers for her pastor, Fr. Jim who is struggling with diabetes.

Prospective Associate, Dan Schleuter, lost his mother. Her funeral will be tomorrow.

Lois Mirizzi asks for prayer for Sheila, who is having a double or triple by-pass surgery on Friday.

During this season of Thanksgiving, let us remember to pray for special blessings on those experiencing needs for food, housing and love.

We give thanks for you, our faithful pray-ers.
    Thank you.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

Once when Brother John was staying in the Place of Mogliano of the Custody of Fermo in the Province of the Marches...when he had proceeded as far as the Preface of the Blessed Virgin, the supernatural illumination and sweet consolation of God's love increased so much within him that when he reached the Qui pridie he could hardly endure such overwhelming sweetness. Finally, when he came to the Consecration itself and began to pronounce the words of the Consecration over the Host, he kept repeating the first of the formula - Hoc est - Hoc est - very often, and he was unable to go any further. And the reason why he could not go on was that e felt and saw the presence of Christ and of a throng of angels and saints, so that he almost fainted because of their grandur which he felt in his soul.
