That All May Be One

Group created by Rene Lape

A discusion group dedicated to the vision Christ had that all believers in him might be one. Where have we gone wrong? And how might we pursue unity without pride or anger.

btw what seems to divide us are the intrepretations of the word/s of God by men - viz the Pope,in fact,of himself is not really infallible for it is the Holy Ghost that is infallible "for flesh and blood does not reveal this to you but my Father in heaven" - twinc

That which outreachs all and goes back to the origins of man unites us viz Creationism and here all find an unsought and natural unity and a common front - twinc

I found that St. Benedict’s Rule is a wonderful way to participate in a spirituality that developed before the Protestants split off in the 1500s and before the schism with the Eastern Churches in 1054.

The antiquity of the Benedictines powers its ecumenical outreach.

At the Catholic Benedictine monastery where I am an oblate, being Catholic is not a requirement and we have several Protestants who are oblates at the monastery. It is a good example of functioning Christian unity.
