    To be able to talk, smile, wink, laugh, walk or even eat! These are all gifts from God, freely given.
    A few years ago I lost a brother. He had cancer of the throat. At the very end, he could not swallow at all. He craved mangoes which he could not eat. He died of starvation, literally, so be grateful to God for all your abilities; others do not have what you may be taking for granted.
    God bless!

    Hi All.
    I just wanted to belong to this group that has such a fitting name.
    Life is God given. It is His gift to us among so many others
    He made us in His own image. What can be more wonderful than that!

    I think the word "Gift" is such an appropriate word. the gift of our Church, the Gift of the Eucharist, the Gift of Confession, the Gift of the Holy Spirit, the Gift of Divine Mercy. I feel so blessed being born and baptised Catholic! God Bless!

    Speaking of the Rosary, I am very grateful for the gift that God gave us through the late, great Pope John Paul II, of the Luminous Mysteries. They certainly light up my life.

    Praying, being in daily contact with God, i don't feel alone, eventhough i am in fact most of the day, alone. But God is my strenght, my upmost companion.

    God has granted me many gifts, eventhough i am not a perfect christian at all. One of those special gifts that i have received is to learn to pray the Divine Mercy Rosary. Rosary it is not just about repeating prayers, but, really to live and feel each moment that our Lord Jesus had lived and suffered for us, sinners. God had granted me a miracle, me, so insignificant human being, and i really thank our Lord because each time i am facing a problem, He has never let me down, He has always been there for me, eventhough sometimes i have forgotten Him. When we surrender to Him and let Him do His almighty will, instead of us doing our will, marvelous things happen, sometimes at that moment we can not recognize that things happen for a reason, but, trust in Him is all we need in this world. May God bless each one of you.

    I am convinced that God gives us many gifts throughout our lives. Many of the saints have talked about the importance and value of praising God constantly. I have found in my own life that it helps to look at each thing that happens during the day as a gift, from the largest (the Incarnation, the Eucharist) to the smallest (a beautiful cloud, blown away by the wind in an instant). Even the things that I don't like at first I accept as a gift from God, such as someone cutting me off in traffic.

    Hi. Here is a gift:

    The Catholic Church has a long history. Currently history is being made with the emergence of the New Jerusalem calendar. It is a brand new floor for the Church to launch it into the New Jerusalem era.
    Highlights of the changes! A fresh new calendar to unite all of us!
    Alpha Omega New Year's Day on the Vernal Equinox
    March becomes the First month of the year. September becomes the Seventh month. Sept 11 is now 7-11 not 9-11.
    Passover (March 1/14)
    Easter (March 1/22)
    Pentecost (May 3/8)
    Day of Atonement (Sept 7/10)
    Festival of Lights Christmas (Dec 1-8)
    and much, much more!

    Christmas has a large history. Both with pagan and Christian associations. Many know Jesus was not born on Dec 25 so in the New Jerusalem Catholic Church
    http://www.alphaomeganewjerusalem.co...wjerusalem.pdf

    Christmas has been adjusted to the 8th day of the Festival of Lights from Dec 10/1-8. We celebrate God/Jesus as the Father/Son of lights(truths). The birthday celebration has been moved.
    December is the tenth month now on the new calendar. The conception of Jesus is on Sunday Dec 10/1 and 9 months later the birthday of Jesus is on the Feast of Trumpets Sept 7/1. You can put your manger scenes out in the warm weather now.
    September is the 7th month now.
    Sept=7
    Dec=10

    We are to build the New Jerusalem Catholic Church and make history!

    Today is Fri Nov 9/20 on the new calendar.

    It would be great to discuss this with you
