    Good morning, holly2,

I've never heard of that before, but I'd guess it has something to do with Mormon doctrine, because the governor is Mormon.

    God loves you,

What is Dominion Theology. Been told by a friend that Romney believes in this.
Would like some direction. Thanks. Trying to be an informed voter.

    Hi, Gail,

    Good to see your email.

I just now said a little prayer for you. Hope it helps.
Said a prayer for your dad, too.

Too bad the thief totaled your car. What year is your little red Ford Focus? You drive careful, now.
Your car reminds me of my '90 little red Ford Escort GT. I had six years of good service, with it. Had to scrap it in '09 ... just everything started going wrong all at the same time and I'd just lost my job. Shouldn't have been driving it, anyway, because I had a black out while driving it in '08. Almost hit a cop car while blacked out and got a ticket. Never told anybody in the VA nor my friends and family until last year.

Well, have you been to a combined church council meeting yet? What do you mean, you don't yet know all that is going on? I'm glad you have one priest you can understand.
Sometimes at the Cathedral we have new priests with thick accents. Sometimes I wonder if the Bishop orientates priests new to the parish at the Cathedral? And then assigns them to a parish church.

Well, we're having our cold to warm to cool to 50's weather, again.

I'm still wanting to go to church but falling back asleep in the morning, after I get up and feed the dogs and take them out and in. I'm going to talk to my therapist and doctor, when I see each one at the beginning of March, about sleepiness after a good night's sleep. That going back to sleep shoots me down for both weekdays and Sunday church attendance.

Yes, I made it on time and have made a follow up appointment to pull my two remaining teeth. The dental tech calls it oral surgery, to pull teeth. However, they aren't going to give me dentures. I'll have to have that done at Baylor University in Dallas, when I get around to it.
I'm due back to the VA Hospital in Dallas the afternoon of Tuesday, Feb. 21, next week. I'll try to make that on time, without resetting it. But, that depends on the weather as much as it depends on me. I asked for 3PM time, so I'd be up and awake and maybe more willing to brave really cold weather. There was a time I loved to brave inclement weather ... pride or testosterone, I'm not sure which ... smile. Any way, now I cave in to extremes of weather at either end of the thermometer.

So, I hope you get some rest.
Would you pray again that I get to the hospital on time, Tuesday?

    God loves you,
    Don

    Don,
I say a prayer for you and friends every day, so hoped you got to the VA on time. Hope you are all right.

Between the car and my Dad, I have been run ragged. Need a huge vacation! Ins. is paying for the rental and I have theft coverage, this comes under comrprehensive. The thief totaled the car, so had to look for another one. Found a little red focus wagon. Will do for a time. I'm not fussy about what I drive, as long as it goes from point A to B.
My Dad is almost 96 and in failing health. They keep sending him to the hospital for various wrongs with him, He's in there now. So between him and the car, I am mentally and physically exhausted. I don't ever ask anyone to pray for me as my needs are so little and some others go great, but now I need a prayer also.
Two parish councils are now combined. I think it will work out fine, but we yet don't know all that is going on. The priests from the "other" church come over to say Mass at ours. But one has a strong accent and no one can understand his homilies. The other one has relevant homilies and comes over frequently.

    All for now.
    Peace,
    Gail

    Good afternoon, Gail,

I prayed for you about your car. Will the insurance pay to replace it or wasn't it insured against theft?

Two parish councils! Will they both be at one combined meeting? I'm nervous in front of a bunch of people, too. Just focus on what it's about, your pro-life stand, say a little prayer and you'll do fine.
It would be great, if there were snacks. Let me know how it went.
Yes, "Little Nash Rambler" about a slow economy car that out ran a souped up car. It was a cute song.

Would you say a little prayer for me, that I arrive on time at the Dallas VA Hospital tomorrow morning?

    God loves you,
    Don

Golly, the month is almost over. Where ever have I been?
As you saw, someone pilfered my car on Tuesday morning around 9 am. Haven't heard anything, so guess they didn't find it. Yet. Still have hope, but it is waning.
Lot's of folks praying--and I thank you as well.
Meeting with two parish councils tonight--remember I mentioned two of our parishes are now combined, Us and St. Patrick's. Fr. wants to introduce me as the parish rep for pro life. I am a tad nervous about all this. I really don't like attenton upon me.
Maybe they'll have snacks and coffee! Every time I have been over to St. Pat's, they have a big spread of munchies.
Driving around in a zippy little Honda-didn't the Beach Boys have a song about a little car?

Take care of yourself and be good. haha

    Hi, Gail,

Thanks for writing, always good to see your post. I'm sure your position as Pro-Life representative for the Cathedral keeps you busy. I get email from Forty Days for Life and was invited to the DC March of Life, but am not going, of course. I'll do good to be part of the Fort Worth March for Life.
You're quite welcome to our weather grin. Here in Fort Worth we didn't get any snow, either, just rain. The people north and west of here received the snow.

It's sad, when a parish closes. We have some of that here, too. I'm glad that your administrator is friends with one of the Cathedral priests. It makes a big difference.

My closest family is a cousin in Springtown, about forty some odd miles NW of here. Then, other cousins in towns further away in Texas. Then some cousins in New Mexico. Then my twin in Maryland and another cousin out in Calif and cousins in Rhode Island. My parents and all their brothers and sisters have passed. I have God family in and close to Fort Worth, but don't see them very often. I just thank God for good neighbors and friends in the area where I reside.

It's a beautiful day here, today: blue skies laced by scattered cirrus clouds and a gentle breeze at 63 degrees. I don't know if you'll get any of this up there, later, or not. We have another cold front coming in tonight, with below freezing temperatures by Thursday morning.

All is as well as can be, thank you for your well wishes.

    God loves you,
    Don

    HI, Don,
Everything seems to be in a lull around here afer the heyday of the Christmas season that ended on Epiphany. Now we start readying for Lent on Feb. 22. We have many services at the Cathedral. Forty Days for Life begins then also. I am Pro Life rep for the Cathedral so will be busy with that. Wish I could go to March for LIfe in Wash, DC, but can't make it. One of our priests is going so we will have a rep down there.
Have some weather coming our way all the way from Texas. Some snow, but mostly rain along the shore. Thanks for sharing it!
This Sunday is the official day when two parishes become one. Three churches have closed their doors in the city, sad day. But two of us will be joing together and will be known as the Cathedral Parish. The priests at St. Patrick's are so nice and one is good friends with our administrator-- he was "stationed" with him at their last parish. It will be a good joining and we have already started acting as one.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Do you have family nearby?

    Peace,
    Gail

    Don,

No problem, I will remember that, if I am correct they also say for laity they could sign things with Mr, Mrs, Miss, Ms, and then add the OP after their name. So as such, Miss/Ms. Nikita, OP
