Where has everyone been?? Including myself!! Beautiful day on the Long Island Sound after an eternity of rain and some flooding.
Did some knitting for the Prayer Shawl ministry and watched the NASCAR race from Sonoma. Johnson better win soon or he'll be off my list of favorites.
Don, hope you are doing well. Been getting to church at all? I know it's tough for you and I feel badly. I am truly grateful that it almost too easy for me. But who knows what the future brings.

    Hi, Gail,

I hope your weather clears up.
We've had seventy degree nights and mid nineties days here for a week, with clear skies. Texas spring weather. I dread the coming summer. At one time, I would savor the heat, regardless of its three digit temperature. But, I'll be 68 this year and extremes of weather are beginning to get to me.

I started a murder mystery, yesterday. Tony Hillerman's the author, writes about Navajo Reservation police interacting with regular law enforcement and the FBI. He researches his stories very carefully, so it's good reading.

I've been reading my Catechism of the Catholic Church, a little at a time. Try to digest what I read, as I go along.

I'm glad your area wasn't hit by that tornado, there. That's really unusual, for a tornado in your region, isn't it?

Well, you take care of yourself, too. Thanks for your prayers and I pray for ya'll, too.

    God loves you,
    Don

Bad weather again today, dark, rainy, windy, but tolerable. Good day for curling up with a book and listening to come classical music.
Reading "What the Gospels Meant", and I wish I were more knowledgeable about the Gospels so I could grasp it better. Well, maybe I'll get something out of it.
Read a great book last month, Invitation to Faith, and was truly inspired.
A prayer for all those displaced by the Arizona fires and those injured and killed in our latest tornado up in Massachusetts. That's only an hour from us. We had an F1 last year, that was bad enough.
Don, glad your BP is improving. Wish mine would. Take good care of yourself.

Wish you all a blessed Pentecost, may the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit guide us all in the right direction.

    Hi, Gail,

Yes, our DFW VA Hospital and local clinics do pretty good, imho.
Yes, I'm better, my blood pressure is not so high, anymore.

Yes, ma;am, my dogs keep me good company and provide nature's own alarm system. That's basically all I want them to do, is bark at strangers. And, they do.

That's something with Patches and the squirrel, nose to nose through the glass door.

Spike, the standard Chiuaua and the younger one, once caught a squirrel in the back yard, and ate it. Yep, tail and all. She-She, the older and regular sized dog is sort of like your older cat. She-She's nine years old and getting stiff, so she's my take-it-easy dog.

Frankly, I like squirrels, I think they're cute. I think my favorite local critter would be the Mockingbird, our state bird. It's songs are beautiful.

Love, and God loves you more than I ever could,
    Don

    Hi,Don,
Glad you can see again! That was quick work by the VA, around here I heard they were a bit pokey.
Hope you are doing well and your health is better.

And the dogs are keeping you good company. I miss my dog-she's been gone for a few years now, but --you know how it is.
But the two cats keep my going. One is an older lazy model that would rather share food with a bird than chase it! The other one, an indoor model, will chase dust-or anything else that moves.
A squirrel was on my front porch today and Patches (indoor model) went to the door to inspect this new creature. They were nose-to-nose through the glass and quite curious about each other. It was fun to watch. I imagine the squirrel is a young one.
    God loves ya'll---and me too!!!

    Hi, Gail,

    Good to see your post.
Looks like your new deacon is going right up the ladder from lay Catholic to priest. grin.
I'm glad you had a good time.
I, too, am always impressed when the Bishop and several priests concelebrate at the Cathedral.
The VA mailed my new glasses to me. The doctor said it would be three to four weeks, when he examined my eyes. They came in the mail yesterday, which was less than ten days from my exam, so, I'm a happy camper.

    God loves you,
    Don

We had a deacon ordination last Saturday, It was special because he is from our church and will be ordained a priest next year. Big feast followed which we all enjoyed. And everyone had their picture taken with him.
The Mass was beautiful and moving, as it always is, but with the Bishop and all the priests concelebrating, it is always extra special.

    Good mornig, Laura,

    Thanks, for verifying my memory.

I think on base in Japan, English will do just fine. Now, in town might be another thing entirely.

So, Ohio is good morning in Japanese. Heh, I wonder how many words that is, in Japanese?

God loves you and all of yours,
    Don
