Discerning Religious Life

Group created by Richard James

This group is for all who are discerning calls as Catholic Brothers and Sisters.
I invite all those who visit this group to say this prayer.

Lord, You created the human person in Your own image and likeness and have called each member of the human family to live according to Your Will. May our eyes see, our ears hear, and our minds understand the path You have chosen for us. Help me and my brothers and sisters in Christ to hear and obey Your call. Amen.

    Hello, I just joined this group. I am open to meeting interested women who are healthy and desire to serve God as a teaching Benedictine sister. My community was disbanded due to ill health and old age, who are being well taken care of by another community of sisters. This would be a new beginning, and a vocation to pioneer a new community. I am teaching in a good Catholic elementary school that wants me to begin a new foundation. I have a house with four bedrooms. If it is God's will, I am open to meeting anyone who may be interested.

    Hello Everyone. I am seeking older ladies that feel the call to religious life and are open to forming such an apostolic group or community. Young seekers welcome, too. If interested go to;
    Mature Vocations.... here among the many groups. PAX

    My brothers and sisters. My prayer has been answered. I have wondered if "this feeling" was a calling and I have prayed and prayed wondering what God wanted me to do. I have taught CCD for the second year now and my Pastor approached me and told me I should take a serious look at becoming a Deacon. And I have never felt more at peace. Maybe, this will lead to the Priesthood or I may remain a Deacon, either way I have felt a desire to do more, to teach more, to help more. I will need to get through formation and be ordained but, it just feels, "right" like, this is where and what God created me to be.

    Hello friends.

    I am very impressed to see a group of people discerning their vocation. I am a member of a religous order myself, the Salesian congregation, and the catholic.com was very instrumental in accepting my vocation.

    Hi all,

    I hope you are well. My parents just gave me their blessing to visit our nearby Franciscan sisters Jan. 9-15! The convent is having an open week - there will be a large number of young ladies there - some in discernment, some merely making a retreat. Let us pray that the week will be full of joy and peace for all according to God's perfect will for my life and for theirs.

    On this Sunday, the last Sunday of the liturgical year, we celebrate that Christ is King. Let us remember that Christ is the Eternal King and the King of our lives and that He has written our path. Lets pray that we follow the path He has written for us and trust in His Infinite Wisdom.

    I think it's true when we share stories we share Grace. I want you to know that I will specifically pray for the mentioned vocation causes at daily Saturday Mass.

    Thank you catherine,
    I am finding myself growing closer to God day by day. And the Hail Mary's for the intercession of our blessed Mother is a wonderful idea.
