Miraculous Medal Group

Couple of years ago around my birthday, my dad went to church for Sunday mass, and one guy who was sitting next to him gave him 3 miraculous medals and left. He brought them home and I was very happy thinking that it's a birthday gift from God.

I joined this site specifically for this group. About 3 weeks ago I found an old miraculous medal in my jewelry box, and I swear my life has started changing. It has stayed around my neck, but honestly I have never been really aware of it being there. I have always had absolutely terrifying nightmares about death of my family members and terrible destruction even though I never watch or read anything scary- since I was a kid. I now know that it was the devil giving me those images, and I haven't had them since. I stumbed across Mother Angelica on youtube, and have been watching shows of her every night- I've learned so much about Mary and the devil. I then felt a pull to read my old Bible. I had to go find it and pull it out. I have been reading and highlighting in it daily, and sincerely praying. It was only last night that I realized how much I have changed and gotten closer to God in the last few weeks, and it hit me like a ton of bricks when I realized it correlated to my miraculous medal!! A week ago I was in a terrible wreck that threatened to flip my SUV. The cops and ambulances were called and shut down the highway. Not only was I not even scratched- nothing is wrong with my car! Yesterday I got a call that a raffle I entered 3 weeks ago for an $800 dollar prize was won by me! I am a very poor college student who is really struggling financially right now, and the raffle winnings perked me up indescribably. I just wanted to find somewhere to share my story and how much I am grateful to Mary and my miraculous medal for all of her intercessions in my life lately. It gives me chills to realize what she has done for me. I feel her graces and protection surrounding me. I want to ask a priest to bless my medal for me- or maybe it has already been blessed!

Hi everyone! I am new here, but found this group! I got my Miraculous Medal when I made my first communion and have had it all these years (40+years). I am very devoted the the BVM and to St. Catherine Laboure. Blessings to all....Shelly

77stanthony77 Your right, we have to grab those busy fellows directly after Mass, thats how I get all my things blessed that I need and they are always so gracious about it.

I don't know but once I was holding a wooden cross that needed blessed when my Priest was doing the blessing and my hand started to shake and I swear I felt this power and I started to feel weak, so now I don't "hold onto" objects that need blessed anymore, heehe.~

This is good to know! mine was blessed by Father Lawrence at the co cathedral. I had a hard time finding a priest to bless my articles. Priests are always busy! After mass during the week sometimes is a good time to have articles blessed.

Good news! The miraculous medal is indulgenced IF it is blessed by a priest.
The Enchiridion of Indulgences Issued by the Sacred Apostolic Penitentiary, 1968 says:
"The faithful, who devoutly use an article of devotion (crucifix or cross, rosary, scapular or medal) properly blessed by any priest, obtain a partial indulgence. "But if the article of devotion has been blessed by the Sovereign Pontiff or by any Bishop, the faithful, using it, can also gain a PLENARY INDULGENCE on the feast of the Holy Apostles, Peter and Paul, provided they also make a profession of faith according to any legitimate formula.""

We need to get our miraculous medals blessed!

Good Question, you might ask your Priest, don't know, but I know it's not as popular as it was in the past few decades.

I was reading a book called The Miraculous Medal by M. Aladel, C.M. that says the miraculous medal needs to be indulgenced for receiving great graces. Are there any current indulgences for it? If not could we petition bishop(s) to make an indulgence for wearing it?
The book said this on page 51. It said Mary said this to her in the apparition "Have a medal struck upon this model, persons who wear it indulgenced, will receive great graces, specially if they wear it around the neck; graces will be abundantly bestowed upon those who have confidence."

Has Satan maneuvered the church to make the miraculous medal unindulgenced?

Was thinking and relflecting on my PATRON SAINT CATHERINE LABOURE who is responsible for the Miraculous Medal being stuck due to her vision during adoration, I so love adoration that I wish I had listened to my friend Beth40n2 about it and tried it earlier, it is just so peaceful and the Lord does talk to you if you listen, one day I was feeling particularly anxious and the Lord gave me Psalm 138, I love to re-read it alot now.
