I have been in the Legion now for about 6 years and I love it.

Good to hear from you again. I talked to Bernie yesterday and her husband is coming home from the Nursing facility today. Please continue to keep that couple in your prayers.

Is this a new Praesidium that you are starting?

I love the Legion and I always offer the members to God through our Blessed Mother. With our Mother's help nothing is impossible and everything is achievable. I always look forward every Saturday because this is our meeting day. I have the meeting for the senior in the morning and the junior in the afternoon. I love working with the juniors and I love all of them. I am very fortunate to be a part of both Praesidium. Our members are all very good and devoted to the Legion.
I wish you all the best in your Praesidium and I hope you will find the suitable place for your meeting. You know what, when we were having problem on where to have the meeting for our 2nd Junior Praesidium, I was in tears and everybody was telling me that the Blessed Mother will find a way and true enough, the catholic school being part of the Parish allowed us to use one of their rooms for a meeting place,so put your trust in God and our Mother.

I love to hear how your Praesidium is going. What is the name of your Praesidium and where is it located?

There was a time when I kept saying " I don' have the time to become an active member". I am working full time and I have a granddaughter that I need to look after and on top of that, I had a liver transplant a few years back but it's amazing how God helps you find the time once you are there.
I am now the vice president for our junior group where my granddaughter is also a member. I also join the RCIA group which is one of the active work of the Legion and the meeting for this is at night so I can attend the meeting.
Home visitation and hostel visitations are works that can be done during the weekend.
As long as you have the desire, the Blessed Mother will help you find the time. What is required , is that you do two hours of active work for the week and it does not have to be done in any particular day.
For me, the legion work became part of my social life and one of the benefit is that I was able to get my granddaughter really active in the legion that she also became an altar server.
To Jesus Through Mary, nothing is impossible.

I remember there was a praesidium in our curia reported that they experience riding a small boat just to home visit. It was after the typhoon Ondoy hit our country and leave many places flooded for more than a month. This legionaries wasn't stop by this scenario, but instead get motivated to do more. Thinking to bring Mary to the houses of this people who are very much bothered at that time sure help them strengthen their hope and faith to our Lord. Congratz to you brothers and sisters! Great job!

This is a wonderful question. The answer is very clear and I encourage you to read P. 92-4 in the legion handbook. Point #3 states "daily recitation of an Office approved by the Church, especially the Divine Office or a substantial part of it, for example, Morning and Evening Prayer."

I, too, am a Lay Carmelite. The prayer lives complement each other and the work we do. Our Lady asks each to do the best not the most. Quality of time in your prayer life will draw you deeper. Accept the gift you are being given in the spirit of love and charity to serve Our Lord through His Mother.

There are days when things don't go as planned. Our Lady knows my heart. I lift my thoughts to her. On more than one occasion, I have said all my prayers at bedtime. Some days are like that.

Hello everyone, my name is Kathleen and I am now an auxilliary member of the Legion of Mary. In the 90's I was an active member. After I moved I merely said my rosary every day, but I still say the Legion prayers before my rosary. I have such a deep devotion to our Blessed Mother and I always wear my Miraculous medal around my neck. I hope to continue discussion and learn more. God bless you all!

The month of May is dedicated to our Blessed Mother. As Legion of Mary we should really try to make people aware of the role our Blessed Mother played in our Salvation.
When she agreed to be the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, the promise of Salvation by God came into fruition.
Let us honour and love our Mother. Let us offer ourselves to God through our beloved Mother by following Her examples of humility, love and true faith in God.

    Hail Mary, full of grace
    The Lord is with thee
    Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
    Holy Mary, Mother of God
    Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
    Amen.

With all the calamities happening around the world, as member of the Legion of Mary, we should really increase ourdevotion to our Blessed Mother and ask Her intercession for all those people who do not believe in God that they may have a change of heart. We need to be more vigilant in our faith not only for ourselves but our lost brothers and sisters in Christ.

Hello to all my brothers and sisters in the Legion of Mary.

We will be having our ACIES on the 2nd of April. Our juniors are really getting involved with the lenten programs from being altar servers every Friday of lent for the station of the cross and the mass.
They are also the altar servers from Holy Thusday to Good Friday activities and I am really proud as they actually volunteer to do the job.
Happy Easter to all the brothers and sisters in the Legion.

    God Bless toall.

Finally, our new junior praesidium is up and running and has 20 members. We were a bit concern when we split the praesidium into two that the members might not like it and stop coming but with the help of our Blessed Mother, both our Praesidium are very active and we have both our Parish Pries and assistant Parish Priest as spiritual directors for each praesidium. We now have the Senior Juniors and the Junior Juniors. Our senior juniors have members from around 12 years to 17 years while the junior juniors are from 6years to 11 years old. The active works are more relevant to their age group unlike when they were all together. God Bless to all.

I just want to say hello to all my brothers and sisters in the Legion. I hope the new year will bring more people who are willing to give some of their time in honoring our Blessed Mother by joining the Legion of Mary.
With everything that is happening around us, we need to propagate Marian devotion more.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you
    Blessed are you among women
