I am also new to the group. Since I'm at work, I can't pray the chaplet at 3:00, but I do pray it when I get home after my daily rosary.

Here is a book I wrote on the Way of the Cross.

It is called the Charismatic Stations of the Cross.

I wrote it for those of us that have a hard time meditation on the stations.

I try and post passages daily with some of my reflections. I hope you will join me. People do read and not comment.

I ask for prayers for myself and sister and brother-in-law tonight. I was diagnosised with Pulmonary Fibrosis this past week. Now twe swine flu has invaded our home. It is not very healthy for me. I am starting to cough and have another sore throat. My sis is getting ready to head to the ER. We all have underlying health conditions. Please pray for mercy for us to get through this hard period.

    God Bless!

May God's mercy shower you with much and may your praise be grateful!
Praying for you! Don't forget to offer it up as well...

    God Bless,

Hello there Poetess Kera! The Divine Mercy is a very powerful feeling when given to us. I believe in the power of mercy not just to solve daily gripes and problems, but to also calm us when we are most vulnerable to satan and his devious ways. When life gets so tough and things seem so chaoctic, this is when satan takes as much of our faith away as he can. Jesus said all we have to do is ask and we shall recieve and He gives so freely. I am glad that you asked and recieved. May all your days have this wonderful ending. Yes, I too get that intense feeling right to my very core. Many that I have talked to have never had this expierence. Once you have it you are addicted to it I believe.

    Just some thoughts... God Bless!

The Holy Father, benedict XVI, message yesterday...............

Finally, recalling that tomorrow and the day after are, respectively, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross and the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, the Pope said: "The Virgin Mary, who believed in the Word of the Lord, did not lose her faith in God when she saw her Son rejected, humiliated and placed on the cross. She stayed near Jesus, suffering and praying unto the end. And she saw the radiant dawn of His Resurrection. Let us learn from her to bear witness to our faith through a life of humble service, ready to pay personally so as to remain faithful to the Gospel of charity and truth, in the certainty that nothing of what we do will be lost".
    God Bless us every one

    Hi everyone,
First of all, I don't know if I'm allowed to post this thread in more than 1 group or not, but if I'm not, you have my permission to remove it because I've already put it in the Rosary group. But here's the situation. I have a friend who needs prayers very badly. Her name is April Stahl and she just found out recently that she has 2 types of cancer. She says it doesn't look good right now, but she has a lot of faith. Please pray for her.
The reason I put this thread in this group as well, was because I know there are some people in this group that aren't in The Rosary group and I wanted them to see it as well.
Like I say, however, if it was wrong to put it in here you may remove it.
    Thanks in advance.

hey nettie, I am glad to hear your surgery went well. I hope your recovery goes just as well. I now that many convents and catholic schools loe to get rosaries to pass out in their missions. It can be the traditional 5 decade or the 1 decade. Check around your area. I hae been making rosaries for about 4 years and find them very reaxing to make. Plus the good they do is a great feeling. Check with OLRM.com to see if they need any. The hae many missions abroad and in the states they send them too.

    God Bless!!

    Welcome JohnMPhilomena!

Thought I would share the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy.

The 7 Corporal Works of Mercy

    1. To feed the hungry.
    2. To give drink to the thirsty.
    3. To clothe the naked.
    4. To visit the imprisioned.
    5. To shelter the homeless.
    6.To visit the sick.
    7. To bury the dead.

The 7 Spiritual Works of Mercy

    1. To admonish the sinner.
    2. To instruct the ignorant.
    3. To counsel the doubtful.
    4. To comfort the sorrowful.
    5. To bear wrongs patiently.
    6. To forgive all injuries.
    7. To pray for the living and the dead.

God asks for so little of us, even though He gives so freely to us. Praise be to God!! :gopray:

Hi - I'm new to the group, but I just finished reading a pamphlet on the Divine Mercy, and think it's a wonderful devotion. (How could it not be since it came right from Jesus?!).

As I understand it, in addition to praying the chaplet, we are called to:

    Ask for God's Mercy,
    Be Merciful to others, and
    Completely Trust in Jesus.

    Jesus I Trust In You!
God Bless all in this group!

Thank you Nancy for the inspirations. I wanted every one to know just how strong the mercy of God is. He can take take any situation and make it right, we just have to belive in His infinte mercy and accept this mercy. God is incpable of making mistakes and we are definitely not mistakes. I for one have been graced by His Mercy through most of my life and I am thankful to Him. I love God and He sustains me through thick an thin. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and my life!

May God grant you Mercy in all you endeavor this day and may you recognize this mercy at work in your soul.

    God Bless!
