Catholics Returning

Well Thanks for all the messages. This is really what I wanted. As far as the end of the world goes please don't misunderstand me. I'm not worried about it at all. I was one of the people that read his last book. I'm not sure how I feel about Mr. Camping.
I do know that he's too feeble to be doing the show he does any longer. He can't hear and only hears what he wants. It's very annoying. I just can't believe we actually have an evangelist that says he's a Bible Expert and he's got the dates. But enough of him I'm not interested in him or his end of the world. If it were to happen in my lifetime I would feel blessed and full of grace. I would find it to be wonderful. Can you imagine the answers answered. And a lot of shocked people that think their ok. Maybe even me. But I'm trying to change that before it is too late.
My other question was Pope John Paul II saying that the smoke of satin has entered the Vatican.I've read that he is referring to the rifts in the Vatican over the Blessed Mother and the revelation of the 3rd Secret's entire text. We have not gotten it to this point Is this true? Is there any truth to it. . And the Eucharist being handed or placed on the toungue. If I'm off base with this information please straighten me out. I'm crazy about the Blessed Mother but I would never put her before Jesus. And some in the Vatican feel that the Lady of Fatima has taken too much attention from Jesus and they feel that we will start to worship the Blessed Mother more than Jesus. I'm getting this from the Fatima.org site. I might be messing this information up so again. Please. If I'm misinformed that's why I'm here to get my head straight. I will never find my way home if I'm misinformed so that is paramount in my mind. I want to welcome everyone and hope that more sign up so we can sharea our expierence's on our return and have empathy for each other like our elders might not be able to feel. How the Lord works in mysterious ways...

I had been present in church in body, but not in spirit. (Our son is being raised a Catholic, and my husband being an Anglican, it was up to me to take him to Mass and got his religious education.)

And thank our Good Lord for EWTN! I have been listening to Mass via their website and it has made so much difference.

I am now so hungry to go back to the Eucharist but I have an annulment to take care of first which I am very scared about---please pray for me, please.

Besides my mother's sudden passing from this life last April, it was also MUSIC that played a part in bringing me back. Listening to the hymns in my church, my pastor's good sense of humor...something just woke me up finally.

Hi. I am a "returned Catholic" and I am not very consistent about checking forums, but I'll do my best to answer questions, or ask questions with you. I "left" the Church in 1988 and returned in 2001. I haven't looked back since. I feel truly blessed to have been called back to Rome.
I believe everyone has a unique faith journey that they must make. I am finding, however, that those baptized Catholic, frequently find their way home to Rome. I am not up on this Doomsday-2012 stuff because I don't put any stock in it. The Church's stand on this or anything specific end of the world date, is that we simply can't know. God is outside of time altogether, so how are we coming up with dates?

I started reading again, (I say again because the last time I only got to page 10 or so). It is called "The Secret of the Rosary" St Louis De Montfort. I do not understand everything I have read so far and hardly remember all of it. However,I am hopeing the more I read of it that it will sink in sooner or later. I am currently an active Presbyterian who is a former Catholic. When I was a non-active Catholic many years ago, I had mention this to someone and all I heard since then was put-downs regarding the Catholics. However, God must have been with me because when I got to my home, I happened to turn on the TV and behold the topic on that station was about Catholics and the very topic that I had heard the put-down regarding. I do not think non-catholics or even a lot of Catholics understand the Catholic faith.
I believe that people get lost in Scientific studies and try to find an answer that way. Which to me is the wrong way. God sent his only son to earth in Human form to die on the cross for our sins so we could be free. This to me was a miracle. They took Jesus off the cross, put him in a cave and rolled a huge stone over the opening. Only to come to find out that the stone had been removed and Jesus body was gone. Jesus has risen. This is a miracle. I do not believe there can ever be any scientific answer found for this Faith. I don't have answers, only hope to have Faith in God.

Hi juiceman....First of all, I don't know much about this "Brother Camping" guy, but why do you listen/believe what he says? What are his credentials when it comes to our faith? Of course Satan can come into the Vatican. God is everywhere, but so is the devil. We, as believers, just have to know that God is with us and the Holy Spirit is in us to free us from the depths of Satan's evil.
About this 2012 thing....no one knows when the end of the world is coming. Brother Camping apparently declared the world would end in 1994 and it didn't!
Remember that even the devil knows the Bible and can quote scripture and dress in a Saints robe.....!
I think you need to pray and pray and pray about your current situation and ask God for guidance. If this Camping guy is causing you anxiety, stop listening to him.
Do not compare yourself to other Catholics or other Christians. Your relationship with God is your own personal relationship and it is unique.
I am not an all-knowing expert by any means, but I do like to share any advice that I can. If you have any questions that I may know the answers to, feel free to ask.

I feel if there are Prests or Deacons or Bishops out there concerned about the state of the church people like me would be of immense concern. Do you know how many so called Catholics have no idea what the Sacrament really is. And I'm the newby? My wife says thoughout my entire marriage that she says the Rosary every night before she goes to sleep. For 35 years I have felt I've been laying next to a saint that is saying the Rosary every night before sleep and here I just go to sleep without so much as a night prayer. Now I find out with my knowledge that she indeed used the Rosary to go to sleep much like the counting of sheep. Not to mention that she knows nothing of the Rosary. Other than most of the Prayers and their order. But most of it doesnt' hack it. Does it? Am I to strict? Remember I'm a newby again. Born again hopefuly. And again and again until I get it right. Jesus has more to lose than I do and I never knew it until now. And that boggles my mind. Well that's it for today. I'd like to see one answer to any of these questions. I've been posting them in a few places and have yet to be acknowledged. That makes me worry a litte. Maybe I'm just impatient. Once the dialogue starts I get better I promise. I am not sure if I should post on here or not since I am currently active in another church and am a former catholic. However, I have not ever hear of Brother Camping that you speak of juiceman96. I believe that my end of the world will come when God calls me home i.e. when I die. I cannot predict when that will happen. However, I believe if society with all this technology of weapons would blow up the world, we would not have time to react. We would just have to hope we are right with God. God gave us earth to take care of, it is up to us humans to respect and honor God enough to do this. To also respect each other and our own bodies that God has given us.
Right now I am going through a faith callenge. Should I return to the Catholic church? My Catholic praying that I have been doing have been very beneficial and comforting to me.

Hi rusyn0802, I just started the Group the day you joined. I'm hoping there will be a lot more in the future. I just want to have some of my fresh questions answered. I'm so depressed at what I'm reading and hearing from what I believe to be responsible sites. The doomsday criers are going haywire with this 2012 thing. I remember the last time Brother Camping was shouting the end of the world I bought his book 1994. I think that was the date. And now he has a new book out and he's actually having a countdown. We have 16 months. Does the last secret mention the date in 2012? I'm waiting from my copy of The Secret at the Fatima.org site. Which for my money is the hands down last word on the miracle at fatima and it's truth. Please help me with my information if it is corrupt. I'm new again at this. Not born again. Reborn again. And Again. This time I see so much I could never see before. And in the King James Version no less. I never thought I'd say that about the KJV. I enjoy so many of the other translations because they helped me to understand the KJV. I don't see why so many elders have so many problems with the many translations. As long as we come home to the KJV I think it's great that we can learn to understand the Word no matter what the route and how long it takes. It's the Word that's important not the way we get it. Just so long as we do.

This seems like it should be a very popular group, but there aren't any members. I guess Catholics on this website consider themselves already returned!

My first and most important question is this. Brother Camping is preaching that the Holy Spirit can no longer be invoked at the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Can this be true and how does he determin this? Is this the Churchs' postion. I have many quesitions about the fighting in the Vatican. And please don't call it fighting when Pope John Paul II even said that the smoke of satin has entered the Vatican. How frightening this has all become. I'm running back to the Church and it seems the Churchs' house is in worse condition than mine. Could this be true. Has the Churchs' time truly ended. And if not where is the good Brother coming from?
