So, I've come across two "Catholic" dating websites that don't cost money. One of them, Catholic Mates, I didn't even finish filling out the profile because of the questions they asked and the order they asked them in. When uploading pictures, they suggest that you show off your "sexy side" while advising you to not show nipples. (They make it clear that that rule is for the ladies. Honestly, any woman that needs that suggestion is not the kind of woman I'm interested in.) The other (catholicdatingforfree.com) seems okay, but there aren't many women from my area. Most are from the Philippines, which is a very long commute from California. Do y'all know of any good, free, truly Catholic dating sits? I want a Catholic partner, and Iknow for sure I won't find one on Catholic mates, and pretty positive I won't find one on the latter... Any suggestions?

for me being single doesn't bother me. The problem for me is the people... They always are asking me when I am going to be with somebody, or to get married, or sometimes they just tell me that I am spending my time and I shoudn't be so picky with men...
Well, that's annoying, but I always answer them that I am letting God to act in my life... and they just shut up...

    Dear Angie,

I'm sorry you're hurting so bad. From what you've written, you need to cut Dan loose. If he loved you, he would be doing everything he could to be in your life and wouldn't want you free and single. He would claim you. His love for you would automatically be a part of him, so you would already be his family and his sanctuary, and would have already asked you to marry him, because anything else would be unthinkable! Obviously, he doesn't feel the same way about you as how you feel about him. Well YOU DESERVE SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY LOVES YOU!!! My advice is to forget Dan, it's not gonna happen or it already would have. Also, meeting someone on the internet is not the best way to meet people. You're young, there are so many things you can do to meet guys. I only go out with men whom my friends or family know, or someone I've known on my own for a long time. While you're praying you need to aknowledge that it's over, and that you're gonna live life and ask Jesus to heal you. And remember, Jesus loved you enough to die for your sins and be your Savior. He made you his Sister, God's own daughter. You're not a Disney Princess, but a Heavenly Princess!!!

You need to find a real man, a Catholic man, who loves Jesus and the Church and his neighbor! Is there an area in the Church you feel called to? Soup kitchens,working/playing with kids, serving the poor, pro-life? Get involved and forget about yourself and serve those people with a huge smile! If you do, it's possible you will meet like-minded young men.

Since you love to pray, spend extra time before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament telling Him how much you love Him and to create a heart in you the way He wishes it to be. When He heals you, and you're feeling good being on your own, and going on the occasional date, you can do something recommended to me. This is a true story . I knew a very holy lady, and she had been married to her husband for over 50 years. Well, when she was a young lady, she was frustrated that she never met any decent young men. She had heard that if you pray a novena with St. Jude with the intention of finding your spouse, the prayer would be answered. So she did, and on the 9th day, there was a handsome young man praying in the church, too. When they'd finished praying, they started a conversation and she found out, he'd been praying a St. Jude novena for the same intention! He asked her out, and, the rest is history...

So, don't give up on anything, especially not yourself. You are beautiful and you want someone who appreciates your beauty inside and out!

I hope this is helpful. I'll be praying for you. Please write me anytime you want.

Have a Happy and Holy Easter,

    Valentine Angel

I'm a newbie even though I joined in "08. I'm a nurse in TX. I've never been married, though I've been proposed to twice--for all of the wrong reasons. I used to be a miserable single, but now I'm at the point to where it doesn't bother me. If the Lord wants that for me, fine; if not, fine. I'm just happy to be alive and to know Him. Yes, Jesus and my cat Leonardo are the men in my life, the Church my love, and I am happy! I've just turned 48 and I feel like I might be a bit old for this group but when you've never been married you always feel the same inside--I still feel 24! I don't dress like it, but I still love music the same. Anyway, if you're feeling a little bold or a little friendly, I'd be happy to hear from you!

Praying you all have a very happy and holy Easter,

    Valentine Angel

Did anyone read an article saying there is not much from the Catholic church for singles over 40 and 50? Why is that?

The article said a lot of older single Catholics feel left out and forgotten by the church.

Hey, here's my latest profile. Please make a comment or suggestion. Feedback welcome from guys or gals!
Accompanying me in daily prayer, mass when possible, discussing politics, religion, current events; reading, travel, especially to visit family members would gain you lots of points in my book! I enjoy movies, plays and concerts, watching baseball and hockey games, Hopefully, you would take me out to eat often and enjoy daily walks or inspire me to some mode of exercise to keep in tip top shape! (Warning: It might take a bit to get me into the category of being in optimally fit. Hey, honesty is the best policy, right?.) Bicycling, hiking, swimming, camping, travel, discovering new places is more fun with a special friend, right?

If you are the one God intends for me to discern, you'd better reply so we can get this process started, okay? Contact me at NTLEIS thru blazing mail, okay? I'm not a paying member.

Yes, I do like to banter as the kids at the 10 schools I substitute teach at will tell you. The kids love it when I teach math in Spanish!!! Life is too short to not have fun and laugh.

Someone who enjoys ministry and would be open to praying together and reconciling daily are important qualities in my match.

God has given me many great adventure in this life (even captain in the Army!) and I look forward to sharing the next forty years with a dynamite spouse. All serious inquiries will be entertained!

Hi, fellow seniors! I'm one of those darling lasses who has been set free after 33 years of raising my three wonderful kids. Being on my own has been a tremendous adjustment. After almost five years, I'm ready to look forward and seek God's will for a new chapter in my life. Trying to find a great Catholic mate online has been time consuming, lots of dead ends (living in a rural location doesn't help) and a positive experience. So far no takers but I haven't given up yet. I've run into some sites w/ tons of scammers but most of the Catholic ones seem to have decent folks on them. I don't see how a long distance relationship can blossom into marriage unless one person moves near the other (or one of them owns a plane and visits frequently.! HA!) Any comments on the senior dating scene would be welcome!

At sixty plus, it seems like men in their early 50's are hoping to have kids (I'm into grands - not raising kids at this stage in my life.) or else in their 70's so may be facing serious health issues. I'd like to find someone with some years of life to explore this beautiful world, do some ministries together and who will love Holy Mother Church as I do. R U out there reading this????

God bless your day! Pray I will know and embrace God's will for my life. Thank you.

Born and raised in Tampa...I attend single events here and there. It is not my life-long dream to be single, but feel it may end up that way as I am pushing 30 and never married.

    Hi,
I don't belong in this group any more, because I married someone I met on this website.
