Thanks for all your insights ikesatiago
There may be a few writings here you have misunderstood or misinterpreted
:"Catholic position suggest medical procedures that will save both the lives of the mother and the child.
Only if it is certain that the mother will die will such procedure be allowed",

The above was exactly the position the lady was in Ikesantiago, hence why I said we should not try and find solutions before knowing all the details....Hear first before we speak, so to say.

"pointing people in the direction of the church is always the best solution," ,,, yes, but,,
Many souls are first charting the shallow waters before going to the deep sea.
Sometimes we cannot afford to play safe, some need to be answered as needed in the circumstances, we can never expect them to go to the Church, they are here in this place, then, we must be, by all means, be a church to them.

As long as I breath, I sin.
Yes, we are saved, but we must continually work for our salvation.
Any branch not connected to the vine, will die.
Even our Pope confesses his sins, regularly.... just wondering what sins?

"Sterilization can also save a life, the life of the mother, It is not all about sexual pleasure without responsibility of bearing a child."
    >>>>
But first we have to know that anything that will prevent life is a sin...no matter how good your intention is, and this is the Catholic position.

"God put doctors and surgeons on earth to help us"
    >>>>
Catholic position suggest medical procedures that will save both the lives of the mother and the child.
Only if it is certain that the mother will die will such procedure be allowed, like removal of tumor in the ovary with an embryo, or removal of the fallopian tubes with embryo attached outside.

The Catholic Faith suggest the natural family planning method. This is a safe acceptable way of planning a family in compliance with natural laws and moral laws.

,,,, the truth hurts, and only the truth will set us free.
