I need a straight answer to this question? Does the Catholic Church believe that the creation story is a myth, a poetic story? Do they see evolution theory or the big bang theory to be more accurate?

How is Church membership recorded? When you are brought into the Church are you considered a member of the parish you are confirmed in or are you simply added as a member of the Catholic Church as a whole?
