I'm very confused and i just think something is missing in my head (lol). As i re-read my last post i see i was more upset then i thought.. Too many thoughts going at one time My RCIA teacher is going to need a bottle of asprin by the time i'm done with class.. I'm going to stay open and try to just hear what she is saying.

Well today i finally got a call for a phone interview!! Yeah... Thank god because my husband just found out his work won't allow him to take 2 classes he needs to graduate His last 6 credits must be taken on campus and of course they are all day time classes He offered to work on the weekend but they told him no.. So now it's either he puts graduating off untill 2013 or i need one good paying job or two job's. Something so he can finish his degree. I'm not complain though at least he has a job and we are getting by. I pray for all those out of work
I pray you are all doing well.. Tonight i'm going to all saints day service and i'm excited something new.I'll go for now may god bless and keep you all safe tonight.

Hi Rice lady I think they must have misunderstood you . Perhaps they were conveying the idea of free will . I think the paradox that God has plans for us , gives us gifts etc and at the same time we can choose at any time to follow him or not is just a mystery we have to accept - well that is how I look at it . Your daughter will have been so precious to you . How wonderful that you can see her with God in heaven. I am sure if the RCIA people knew that is what you meant that would have whole heartedly agreed.

@ trin 40 Thank you.. But yes they are very nice i'm just really confused.. My sister made her conframation a couple of years ago and she was told to get the King James Bible so i got bought it for her and we have a version plue the NIV one and i found out they are wrong I was alway tought god had a path for us and they tell me no that isn't true. Now i find my self doubting all the things i was told about when my daughter died. Did she go to heaven, was she here for a purpous and furfilled it and was sent on? Just so many thing... It's hard when for 40 something years you knew one thing and now that is changed. I'm still hopeful. I don't know if i should even be reciting the chaplet of the divine Mercey, Mystries and Chaplet of seven sorrows.. Just very confusing.

Trin nice to see you here how are you doing?
@ Daisy i have never heard of that so if you find out anything please let us know.
Ok i have to head out for a doc appt i'll be back later..

Hello Daisy10 and Kcst17 Welcome . Julia 1996 and Ricelady. Hope you get through your RCIA ok. I guess the people running it are up with all the latest on everything. As a cradle catholic I maybe rusty on a few things but I will still be cheering you on .
I watched a wonderful programme on the TV yesterday about one of our politiians who was born in America but fell in love with an AUstralian at world youth day in Poland. She is a commited catholic and she looks like a great female role model.

Hi. I just started RCIA, and I'm really excited, even though I'm running into the same problems as ricedlady.

Hello to all, I am a new member here and I know I will get the correct answers that I need to my questions. I would like to know if anyone out there has heard about three well known restaurants that support Planned Parenthood. They are: Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn's. Our Catholic friends will not dine at these restaurants due to this fact. Is this a true or false statement?
I would apprecitate any answers as I have written to all that I know including our Archdiocease to no avail. Thank you all, and God Bless

@Robert i would contact the leader of the group. You need to make sure your child will be safe. Sometime it is unsafe for adult outside THOSE clinic so you have every reason to be interested it the details. And you hit the nail on the head they don"t really understand all the details and unforeseen things that can take place.

Good luck and that is nice your Daughter is particapating in the paryer group. I will pray for their safety.

My daughter went to a pro life camp this summer. She met quite a few new kids. Many who are homeschooled. Most are from the other side of the city. Our city is divided between two states. There are two diocese in the metro area. There was one boy who was interested in continuing a relationship with her. We encouraged it. We think it is healthy for her to have other friends that are not just at her school or parish. They went bowling as a group once and sand volleyball as a group once.

This boy has asked her to join some kids praying outside a planned parenthood clinic. We don't have problem with that, but the details are very limited. We are having a hard time getting info on what adults will be present. We want someone who is an experienced responsible adult with them. I don't think that the lack of information is something being hidden, just young teenagers don't understand planning, organization and a parents need to know who, what, when and where. Maggie is a lttle timid about getting details for us, which I understand.

Any suggestions on getting the communication flowing?
