    Hi y'all,
Today I watched the Dragon Dance in
celebration of the New Year, lots of
    firecrackers and clanging cymbals
of various sizes to ward off "evil spirits".
Happy Chinese New Year to this
    forum and Christ have mercy
on China and Vietnam!!!(My wife is
    from Vietnam, whose parents were
both Chinese and I'm from Hong Kong
both of MY parents were mainland
    Chinese)

Alls well that ends well, eh georget,

he sings in his church choir (he has an awful voice),

I can bet his voice will be the loudest there

Hi Jeana, By the way, the priest I talked about from Lourdes, when we got home he baptised and confirmed Rick and his Son in his Parish here in the states.

Hi Jeana, the pagan is now a evangelical Christian, he agreed that the story of Lourdes is true, he still hasn't gotten over his mistrust of organized religion, but I'm praying for him.
The agnostic, his name is Rick, is now a devout Catholic, he sings in his church choir (he has an awful voice), the change in him is profound, his story is interesting. I have said I thought us going to Lourdes was God calling me, but now I think it was more about God using me to bless them.

Georget if you dont mind me asking, what happened to the agnostic and pagan after the visit to lourdes??
I would be interested in hearing.

Also everyone, Georgets inspiring spiritual story is on pages 5 and 4 at the moment,
For those members who never got the chance to read it... it will keep moving back each time new posts are posted.
Its a wonderful story that Georget so patiently wrote and shared.
I reccommend it to any of you looking or searching for meaning and reassurance or even just for a great read

    Father, God of all consolation,
in Your unending love and mercy for us
You turn the darkness of death
into the dawn of new life.
    Through Your Son, Jesus Christ,
we ask You to deliver the souls in purgatory
especially those for whom we now pray.

    Welcome them into Your presence
and bless them with eternal light and peace.
Raise them up to live forever
with all Your saints in the glory of the Resurrection
We ask this through Christ our Lord
    Amen

One must see God in everyone.

    Saint Paul tells us,
"The letter kills, but the spirit gives life" [2 Cor 3:6].
A man has been killed by the letter of the Sacred Scripture
when he wants to quote it only so that people will think him to be very learned, . . .
when he has no desire to follow the spirit of Sacred Scripture,
but wants to know what it says only so he can explain it to others.

    St. Francis of Assisi
