Share your favorites, talk about your own projects, talk about how your art and faith intertwine. I like painting, especially Abstract Expressionism, among many other things. I work in acrylics and mixed media.

while not Catholic... i find Kandinsky's concerning the spiritual in art worth reading.

one must read with discernment as he was heavily influenced by Theosophy... but i still find it good reading

The only online class I know of is on LVS http://www.lvsonline.com/ Other than that, the best source of tutorials in on Planetside's own website. Good luck! I found the node way of setting up a scene very un-user friendly and turned it off to work in it the way we did in the original Terragen. If it gets too frustrating, try the free original one.

Any one else blown away with the price of art supplies? I am taking some art classes in college and the cost of art supplies is overwhelming. Well enough of me venting I must get back to work. Since, I am wide awake I need to get a sketch done. to get ready for my sculpture for my 3d class.

I am new to this forum, so... if this works I have included an image of a Station of the Cross (Christ is Stripped, or The Stripping). I have been painting for almost 40 years now, and have worked my way through most methods and movements/styles. I tend to work in series, or with themes or both. I am also a member of the Stuckists, as far as I know the only Catholic member, and one of the very few, if not the only believer in the group.

Hello all!

I recently joined this wonderful group. I love that we share our works so we can learn and appreciate them.

I'm a high school student, i don't do visual arts in school because it's not available in my year level. I'm mostly interested in Surrealism, Religious art and what I deem "Eastern art". I draw them and give them away. Mostly because i get appalled by it, otherwise i scan and keep them for as a record.

Btw, Is it okay to post nude sketches/paintings, or is that against group rules?
