ADD/ADHD Catholic Adults Support Group

Group created by 3DOCTORS

This is a support group for Catholic ADD -- oh, look, a bunny!

Seriously, this group is a place of support and exchange of ideas or Catholic adults with ADD/ADHD -- share how it affects your faith, your life, and how your faith helps you deal with it. Family and friends of persons with ADD/HD welcome as well!

Also, let's not forget to mention how it can be a blessing as well -- creativity, idea generating, humorous, whatever comes to mind!

Have the clutter pretty much localized to one room now. One weekend when it is cooler maybe I will work on that. However my non ADD dh has a 2 car garage that none of our vehicles has ever seen the inside of (what's up with that?) He also has a workshop.

Just to explain my avatar change-I am a free spirit-spent some years in southern california and sometimes long to go back to the west coast (although I don't miss the earthquakes-lol). Love the beach boys music, setting, and so forth. Again-depends on what mood I am in-so maybe next week I would be into the country scenery-oh-my oldest daughter is the true california girl (she was born at edwards afb, ca). My other two kids were born in sc, my home at the present (summerville-outside of charleston). Oh well-I may be getting old yet am young at heart Going to bed now-must get up to get my daughter off to school-first day of school-ya-hoo! Good night

Talking about clutter-my house is a clutter! oh-thanks-the hamster is still running loose-with four cats-a miracle that not one of them broke into my daughter's room to catch it. Still leaving resents"-oh well. Oh-you being a jr member made you lose your old avatar? I don't quite understand? I like your bunny-is that your pet? how cute

Oh, look, a bunny! My new avatar, which is cute, but I miss my 3 Doctors medal one. I graduated to junior member status but now you have to have 500 posts to have a custom avatar! Wah!

Hope that hamster shows up soon, laura!! My kitty houseguest went home this morning so now my bunnies can have the gate where they can see me instead of the door closed because kitty, though sweet, had "issues" with other animals.

Now -- getting on topic at last -- maybe I can get some of my clutter cleared as my ADD therapist and I made a plan for me to do!

Hey folks-I'm b-a-c-k! Boy-it's good to be home and out of tent city-yoo-hoo! Oh-hammie is still loose-left some water in a bowl and some food for the critter and saw that there were some activity that has taken place while I was gone so I know that he is still alive and ticking-will try to clear out the room to make it easier to find him. Thanks, lambw for the advice based on your past experiences with your critters-I will definitely try that Thanks, 3DOCTORS also for the mattress cushions/foams and so forth-will check that out too-I know that there has been chewed holes in a few bags that didn't have holes chewed before so he is running around in that room-oh-boy. Well, am going to bed now-very tired and still recouping from that trip-got dehydrated the other day and it was not fun-I am okay, by the grace of God Take care, now-goodnight

It is funny to get hyper and wacky with another person who is hyper and wacky at the same time (they don't even have to have ADD!) Like when you get the giggles in public and everytime you all try to get it under control, one of you looks at the other and you're off and going again!

Hi laura, If you get a couple humanitarian mouse traps ( they are a square tube with a trap door) Pop the end out of one and the door out of the other and tape them together. bait them with peanut butter and tape them to the floor you can probably catch them pretty quick. I have caught several escaped hamsters like that at home and school.
bj I like that way of looking at it We have so many new experiences b/c we forget so much God certainly does have a sense of humor doesn't he? lol
take care and God bless you all!

laurab - you might also look under any box springs/mattresses -- one of my rabbits liked to chew the underside of them, which would probably appeal to a hamster, because inside is all that foofy stuff that looks like nesting material! See if there's a hole hammie could have gotten in.....

Living life on the edge is right. Just about everything we do is a new experience because we forget so much. Humor is very important. I think I am humorous all the time and most of my family doesn't. They look at me being annoying. What is funny to me though is when my adhd daughter and I get in the same kind of mood at the same time. WOW!! Look out. We act so crazy and we just don't care. I'm smiling just thinking about it. My wife I believe has OCD as well. Writes everything down, always on the go, has to be doing something.. What's up with that. I get tired just watching her and I'm the one with ADHD? My house is a zoo as well. Three dogs, 4 horses, one donkey, three girls and a wife. There is a lot of drama and PMS in my house and I'm the only male. And they wonder why I'm outside so much. I hope GOD blesses your day because He really is wonderful.

That hamster is probably having the time of its life. Like it's on a safari and meeting the local mice and studying their strange culture, eating exotic foods, sightseeing all the wonders of life outside the cage. Learning how to avoid those dangerous animals. He's living life on the edge.
